- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Celtice, vor einem MonatIt's a really great tool when set-up works out and the feeds continue to update. I've had problems though, like an error 398 with a couple feeds on the same website, and I can't figure out what it means---I have no clue if it's an issue with the website or the extension. Regardless, RSS feeds might be a "dying breed", but like the radio, it's an integral tool to preserve, and I enjoy being able to check the websites/blogs/social media pages that I care about, with fewer distractions and bouncing between sites.

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Joey Wheel, vor 5 MonatenFeedbro is compromised. It is communicating with a malicious IP: 50.87.175.165 According to AbuseIPDB this is for a word press brute force attack. It will slow up your internet browsing and it was making Google give me the "Are you a human" pop up when they get suspicious usage from a single device. I turned it off and the popups stopped. The only feeds I was tracking were a few people's tumblr pages. I had to ask around on forums at first because I legit thought I had a virus until I disabled the extension and no regular virus scanner was picking this up (by nature of how extensions work.)
Edit: I had ONE RSS feed I forgot about that wasn't a tumblr and must have been powered by wordpress (the feed author had a WP site.) Feedbro doesn't have anything in place to deal with broken feed requests. I had no way of knowing. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon AverageJoe, vor 8 MonatenUI is somewhat counterintuitive; when I added a feed to "Root", its contents populated the extension's menu (when you click its icon in the extension menu), not what I would have expected-that's all. Seems adding all your feeds to one menu is not what most people would want to do (probably should be an option there to create a new folder). The options UI has gratuitous animations, with no apparent option to turn off animations.

When selecting a folder from the article preview card, it is unclear which feed it belongs to, and there is no way to quickly delete the corresponding feed as no longer interesting.
When selecting Statistics, some feeds are immediately marked as Selected. Why?
RMB in the news list unexpectedly works like SMB.
There is no cloud syncing of feeds via browser, nor via Google Drive/Dropbox connection.
Mozilla Firefox 140.0b1 (64-bit), Feedbro 4.16.3 (Mar 24, 2024), Microsoft Windows 10.0.19045.5854. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon McNamara, vor einem JahrI wanted to get the feed article in full through your help file so that I could read the articles offline.
When only online, it just shows the web page.
After going offline, it searches the content by trying to connect again
Please let me know if you could improve it further. And provides the content offline
Then I don't have to search one which provides such feature

These are things that really annoy me from time to time, but the rest of the functionality is good enough that I do recommend it. At the very least the developers do seem to be very open about bugs and other info.

Only text is visible in the feeds.
And why is 3 options in the setting "Remove tags from feed entries" greyed out ?
Can't enable "scripts", "objects" or "applets" ?

geschrieben am vor 3 JahrenCan you give some feed URLs that aren't working as you expect?
Script, object and applet tag are automatically filtered out as potentially dangerous tags. Feed entry content should not need such tags and if it does, it should be redesigned. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 17651145, vor 3 Jahren
- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon sgdl-pers, vor 4 JahrenI like this, I can group up feeds for reddit, youtube or comics and browse them by grouping whenever I please. I like being able to filter out things I've no interest in.
I don't like this because at random it will break, requiring the extension to be disabled and re-enabled to get anything about it working again. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon bit.ly/Remil-on-Ecency, vor 4 JahrenThis is a BLACKMAIL message: Send me five Bitcoin OR add a search bar so I can look for a specific keyword in articles if you want your five stars back. Previous review:
One serious complaint: Your marketing sucks. :) I was using several other RSS readers, and especially one online service annoys met to no end with their upgrade notification. Came across Feedbro by accident, only heard about you a few days ago, and absolutely love the add-on. Not too fond of the name though, FeedMister or FeedBoss would be better. Also, an easy way to remove the many duplicate threads among the 250 newspapers I'm following will be great. But overall, stellar work, bro's. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 16369757, vor 4 Jahren
- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Kate Buckley, vor 5 JahrenBest of the webextension compatible RSS readers I've found so far, but not quite as good as Newsfox was.
Bulk applying settings to all feeds in a folder would be useful, and so would being able to put a feed in more than one folder.
Oh and "mark as read after seconds" would be nice. - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13715371, vor 5 JahrenWhen I try to dismiss new items, they keep repopulating. I never know when new feeds are available because I keep getting notified about feeds I have already seen.
EDIT: the URL is [https://nrhtx.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?&limit=mc-loc%3A%22NEWDVD%22&count=50&sort_by=acqdate_dsc&format=rss]Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 5 JahrenEDIT: thanks for the link. Please open that in a normal browser tab so that you can see that elements don't have [pubDate] or [dc:date] tag (which they should have since the feed claims to be RSS 2.0). Due to this Feedbro generates timestamps for the item (article) entries. But when you delete such loaded article, Feedbro has no way of knowing whether the article was loaded before (because it's now removed from the Feedbro database). This is why Feedbro downloads the article again.
Solution: don't delete articles that are provided by such feeds (that don't have datestamps).
What's the feed URL? If you are deleting articles and the feed does not date stamps for the articles in the XML, that can happen.
