von nzpete54, vor 8 JahrenI had to find a replacement for the old Session Manager, which worked well until FF57, and then not at all.
I give kudos to the author of this add on for going to the trouble to provide an extension that substitutes for the legacy Session Manager in part. If it can duplicate more of the functionality of the older extension, it would rate FIVE stars for sure. But I thank the author and rate four stars at this time.
There are issues which I hope can be dealt with as this extension develops:
- I had a large 196 tab session saved, which Tab Session Manager shows OK, but when I try to open the session, only a portion of them do load. There seems to be a limit here. It would be nice if there was not.
- I note the latest version 1.5 has an option to Export the tabs (I presume as a list of links), but I haven't located this feature. This would enable me to sort through the 196 tabs mentioned in the previous point, so I hope I can find it - FOUND IT! Cool. Oh, but it only exports as a .json file which is not so useful. Update: but it is not to hard to manipulate the file with Notepad++ using "windowId": value to extract the tabs from a particular session.
- I echo the statement of "Anonymous user 8e0130" who asked "Is there anyway to have it not load non-active tabs?"

- Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon SweatTechnique, vor 2 MonatenFor years, this add-on has suffered from a persistent bug: after an unknown background action, the "Open" button in the Saved Sessions Manager suddenly stops working. I’ve spent several hours troubleshooting, but the technical root cause remains elusive.
Here is what I have established so far:
Profile Corruption: Something is corrupting the user profile. Creating a fresh profile resolves the issue, but only temporarily.
No Add-on Conflicts: I have 100% ruled out conflicts with other extensions.
Clean Install: The issue is not caused by leftover data; a full, clean re-installation of Firefox did not fix it.
The most important point: While I cannot pinpoint the exact trigger in the code, I am able to reproduce the bug reliably. I am happy to assist with further questions or testing. - Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon thwei1111, vor 2 Monaten

I dont know if it has to do with updates or something like that. But just today after a long time not saving my sessions in a separate file they are gone.

Hopefully, it will get fixed soon. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13541515, vor 2 MonatenFundamentally useless. 'Open' button for saved tabs cannot be coaxed to work, at all. F$^# this piece of s#$^%.

- Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon User, vor 3 MonatenIt prevents the device from receiving tabs that were shared with it... other than that, I like it, but that feature is more important than this add-on.

Please add support for local PDFs, so they can be reopened when restarting the browser. - Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon shishi, vor 3 MonatenI am a paid user of other browsers. I tried the Firefox version, but I encountered a few frustrating points. For example, when restoring a session at startup, the window shifts slightly to the left. It would also be nice if it supported title-changing extensions like Window Titler, but this might be unavoidable until Firefox officially supports it.
I hope for future improvements! - Bewertet mit 3 von 5 Sternenvon Neoslayer, vor 3 MonatenAlmost does the job, but tab groups are destroyed, as others have mentioned.
- Bewertet mit 5 von 5 Sternenvon Quantum, vor 3 MonatenFirefox closed all my tabs without warning and couldn't restore them from its own session backup files, even though those files contained all my tabs. This extension helped me restore them all easily, which saved me from having to restore a large number of tabs manually, one by one.
If this extension wasn't there, I would have replaced Firefox with another browser. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Ufnal, vor 3 MonatenOnce every few months, it randomly dedices to delete all my sessions and reset my settings. Absolute trash.
