Also Known SA annotates South African place names that have officially changed as you browse — hover a name for the old one, or show it inline instead. 140+ hand-curated renames (towns, cities, provinces, suburbs, streets, airports, hospitals), fully editable, and it works offline.

A reading aid for a country whose map keeps changing, not a statement on which name is "correct."

Features:
- Three display modes: tooltip on hover, or inline with either name leading (e.g. "Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)" or "Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)")
- Review, edit, deactivate, or add your own name mappings right in the extension — nothing is locked
