I don't usually write reviews or anything for Firefox extensions, but I feel I must for this one. As far as Channel blocking I can only do that if I'm on a video of that users page not on the users page itself. I am only given an option to report users NOT block them like I was able to do in a previous version. Typing in words in a blacklist does NOT block the users who use said words within the blacklist I created. I'm already able to block YouTube Shorts and Movies since I just checked marked those in the options and generated playlists and it does remove the video paused function from interfering with me watching or listening to the videos.

It would be nice to be able to block comments on videos again just by clicking on the 3 dots next to the comment.

BlockTube's UI and functionality within it's extension doesn't work when I manually type in names of channels to block as it doesn't work for me. As of right now I can only give it 2 stars as it really is a necessity to block channels and comments as most comments are just recycled comments from other videos and meme comments and AI chat bots.

    I deeply appreciate this extension. I use it regularly and it's been a fantastic addition. My only gripe is I can not find the list of blocked things. It would be great if I can look over them and unblock something if I blocked it on accident. (Which occurs periodically when I'm trying add a vid to my playlist.) Please consider or make clearer instructions on how to do so.

    as of feb 11 2026 it worked fine for blocking a channel in search results. refreshed search results page, still blocked.

    Worked for a while. Stopped a week ago after a Firefox update. Developer hasn't fixed anything

    Stopped working after a week.

    I think there is a bug where when you load a page the addon would not. You have to switch it off/on and it would work.. sometimes.

    What a shame coz when it works it works great.

    As of 21.01.26 will trigger the youtube ablock detection, must be disabled to view videos

    Ein Stern für die gute Idee funktioniert leider gar nicht. Ich habe über die erweiterten Optionen versucht, Kanäle mit null Views bzw. wenig Views zu blocken, aber das funktioniert gar nicht über JavaScript. Hab dann testweise allen Inhalt geblockt, das funktioniert, aber bleibt dann erhalten, bis man die Erweiterung komplett deinstalliert, selbst wenn man die erweiterten Optionen ausschaltet. Also komplett unnütz.

    It works but when you click on videos that arent filtered it will remove everything from the page except the video. This means you cant see the video description or recommended videos at all.

    Good idea, but somehow only implemented half-heartedly. The page where you can convert the channel name into the unique ID doesn't work at all! You just get a 400 error back! Also, the instructions and description are very half-hearted and minimal. How, for example, do you enter a channel name? With @ in front, or without? It would be a nice tool if it were better thought out.

    Thank you for the update!! Unfortunately, it now gets flagged as an adblock so cannot watch anything with addon enabled ... hope this gets fixed ...

    Playlists from channels I've blocked are still appearing while searching videos. Also, the "Block Channel" option isn't available when clicking the three-dot menu on comments. Clicking on the link of a blocked video still plays the video even when direct access blocking is on.

    The addon is great, works perfectly, but the toggle button in dropmenu breaks everything, add an option to disable toggle turn on/off
