We do not record sensitive information(including login credentials as you browse), record browsing history, or disclose user data. Note that despite the prompt being new, Ghostery is not introducing any new permissions with the update. I really like how much this extension does. I have visited websites that normally have pop ups or ads placed very close. While, it isn't perfect by no means it is better than none. Before, some pop ups would slip through but not now. But, ads on YouTube are random; sometimes ads in homepages or even video player ads (But it lasts for only 3-4 days until it's patched). It is good to see that they are actively listening and maintaining this very well.
