I'm guessing he clicked the "All" tab, felt the terrible loss of his only friend, the Google AI and simply didn't know how to uninstall this or any add-on. So, to save face, he invented a bug. 1000%, if he was ever called out about it, he would tell you to "do your own research" unironically.
