- Z 3 z 5 pógódnośonywót Anon reviewer, 24 days agoDoesn't recognise headings or existing elements. Not even when there are unique element IDs on the page that could have been used.
Instead of linking to an existing element like a subheading, list, etc it just creates a new link to specific words. I would rather it linked by element type eg h2[3] for the third h2 heading or let you easily pick a full heading rather than fiddle to get an few words highlighted.Wótegrono wuwijarja
jo se napisał 13 days agoThis is how text fragments[^1] work.
There are plans to include plain anchors as fallback in the future[^2].

- Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót jgaehring, 5 months agoVery nice, clean and simple to use, with solid defaults for how the syntax is applied to different length strings. It's also nice how the "Disable when natively supported" option is set true by default. Fantastic all around!

- Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót imorisune 🌸, 6 months agoHow do I understand if it works or not? Yes, it does copies with these "IDs" or whatever they're called/referenced as. But when I intentionally went to visit one, I wasn't automatically scrolled to what I highlighted. Which is what I want but it doesn't happen.
Overall, you deserve 2 stars for that.
EDIT: tested it, seems to work now. NVM.Wótegrono wuwijarja
jo se napisał 6 months agoHello, for Firefox 131 or later versions, the native implementation will be used by default. See: https://github.com/ichaoX/ext-textFragment/issues/23
For other cases, could you please create an issue for this GitHub project, including browser information and specific steps to reproduce? - Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót Tony, 7 months agoIt works as expected. But it would be great if the add-on would have a second option to use the ‘textEnd’ directive of the standard so that text could be highlighted with less text in the URL generated. Perhaps by only selecting the 2 initial and final words of the full selection? Important when the text selected is long.

jo se napisał 7 months agoHello, you can try reducing these values on the preference page:
- Character limit for exact matches
- Word count for range-based matches - Z 3 z 5 pógódnośonywót Davide, 9 months agoStrange, it's not working for me, and i can't figure out why.
Nothing is copied to the clipboard...
(latest stable version of Firefox and macOS.)
EDIT 2025-06-14: I think it was `dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = false`.Wótegrono wuwijarja
jo se napisał 9 months agoThat sounds unusual. Feel free to open an issue on this GitHub project with more details and steps to reproduce. It might help us resolve the problem.
EDIT 2025-07-06: The issue should have been resolved in v1.3. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót D1, a year ago

Contributions to improve translations for this GitHub project are welcome. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót Sam, 2 years agoNice idea for an extension that puts an ID on text. Would class based extension be possible? Also add selected text elements to their own anchors within a collection?

jo se napisał 2 years agoHello, this extension is a simple implementation based on the draft at https://wicg.github.io/scroll-to-text-fragment/ , and it is unrelated to the element's class. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót Lernos, 2 years agoGreat extension, implements something that should've been natively integrated into Firefox long ago, and does it well. Active developer :)

- Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót Hudojnyk, 2 years agoBetter than the other more popular addon for fragments. Seems to have a bug where the highlighted text will often show for a split second, but then disappear as soon as the page finishes loading.

jo se napisał 2 years agoHello, I couldn't reproduce your issue (or is this a feature request?). Can you create an issue for this GitHub project to provide browser information and specific steps for reproduction? - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót menkuri, 2 years agoIt is a simple extension that just works with text fragments. It's working fine and speedy.

feedback from the creator of the add-on.
Note: after restarting FF I could not use this any longer. It just does not workWótegrono wuwijarja
jo se napisał 3 years agoYou can try v0.5.1, which supports older versions of Firefox.
