I have two browsers on my work laptop: work (Chrome, paired with the app) and a personal one (Firefox, extension only). Both are signed into different 1Password accounts.
When the latest version of the browser extension updated on Firefox - it automatically linked it to the desktop app and auto-logged in my work 1Password account to my extension on Firefox. The only way I noticed was that I got an email stating that a new browser (Firefox) had logged into my work 1Password account.
This is NOT OKAY and a massive violation of the trust and security best practices that I've come to know 1Password for. You need to roll back this version immediately and change the default setting to NOT automatically link to a desktop app if it's present. 1Password has no idea if the desktop app uses the same account as the browser extension. In my case it wasn't the same account and it still auto-logged in my browser extension to that account !!!
Seriously, this is a HUGE problem. Please take this seriously.

I have tried and so has she but there is a problem with with the directions. The items you say are suppose to pop up don't. The BOT is useless as is the help you try to provide by clicking on help. Can't speak to a human and when getting the code for them to email you. It takes days for them to help. Very unhappy with 1 Password.

I have to keep opening the program and copy and pasting the passwords into the websites. This is a real hassle, I've tried to correct it, but none of the suggestions have worked.

- Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót Blue, ein månad sidan5/30/25 update: Extremely strange and annoying that adding a login via the browser extension is visible in only the desktop app--not the browser extension in which I added the new login. I did this twice. I had to quit Firefox for the new login to show up in the browser extension. This extension obviously needs a lot of work; it's still at the amateur level.
Extremely finicky and buggy extension. Touch ID STILL randomly goes away as an option to open the browser extension, not on only on Firefox but also on other browsers. I used to have to open the desktop app to open or use the extension, or disable then enable the extension. Now doing so doesn't help. And yes, Touch ID is selected in settings. What's the use of the Touch ID option if it randomly doesn't work? The extension is good when it decides it wants to work. - Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót Tom, ein månad sidan
