It not only blocks ads and stops you from being tracked online, it also stops websites from knowing that you are using an Ad-blocker so they can't say something like "Please turn of your ad-blocker".
I also like how it builds up a profile of all the ads you could have seen and the revenue that could have been generated if you saw them, neat little feature.
