Slow to recognize when compared to Shazam. No history, much less synchronized to something like last.fm. No automatic music recognition. Doesn't modify the colouration of its graphical interface to adhere to theme of browser nor system. Would like a link on lyrics' page to view the lyrics at their origin rather than within the extension.

You can change the speed of music recognition (the number of seconds it records the audio for before sending it to the music recognition API) in the settings. Were you able to see the settings section?

There is history. Every identified song is added to it. Do you not see it? It’s displayed below the identified song or if there’s no audio on the current page.

Can you please tell us what you mean by automatic music recognition?

Thank you for the feedback regarding changing the graphical interface. We’d be happy if someone contributed to the extension (it’s open source and published on GitHub) and added the design and support for the various browser themes. It wouldn’t be great if everything is dark and there was our extension with a bright background. Do you, by any chance, have examples of extensions that are great at doing this?

The music recognition API doesn’t provide links to the origin of the lyrics. The idea is that it’s possible to read along. Do you feel like it would be better if, instead, there was a link that opened google for the lyrics or searched on some service that provides lyrics?

We’d really appreciate the answers or any other help with that!

    Only mediocre at recognizing songs. Eventually asks me for an "API token" because my limit was reached. GTFO.

    It works majority of the imes and I install it in every browser I use. No idea why it has only 3 stars, deserves atleast 4 imo.

    edit: oh apparently it bugged out a few months back so thats why it has 3 stars. In its current state its a 5 star for me.

    Broken and returns the error message:

    An unexpected error occurred during recording: ReferenceError: elemForRecording is not defined

    Sometimes just doesn't do anything at all.

    (The bug led to the video appearing in front of the controls. Sorry for messing up the Netflix interface and making you go through the trouble of figuring out the cause.)

    Causes bugs on netflix even when not activated for song search, renders the whole platform basically disfunctional.

    Edit: I don't remember it causing any problem on youtube or other video playing websites. But netflix was the only platform which uses DRM. Not sure if it's related.

    The addon got fixed, most of the 1 star are just talking about it or have unupdated clients.

    Starting with version 3.2.4, audio should not be muted on any websites, and audio recording should work perfectly almost everywhere, including basically all video players.

    Thanks for taking the time to write the review! It marginally prompted us to actually spend effort figuring out the issue, getting help from the community, and finally fixing it. That took hundreds of lines of code.

    Perfect, got it yesterday for my browser, it had trouble with muting videos, but at the same day I got this add-on this problem get fixed, so now it's perfect for finding songs. Thank you developers for this add-on, cause it really sucked to not have normal song identifier in Firefox.

    UPD:
    Don't know how to answer normally, so I'll just update my review.
    Well that's interesting, because from my side, only thing that I did was turning off then on add-on. Actually at add-ons manager at firefox, it's saying: "Last Updated July 7, 2025", so I thought that something changed from your side.

    Thanks a lot! Can you please say more about what fixed the problem for you? Because we didn't change anything and still need to address the bug

    Edit: we had updated the extension description, but not the extension itself.

    (That said, we're releasing a new version that should hopefully fix this issue for everyone.)
