Absolute must-have for me at this point. I don't even like using the Steam client anymore, because it doesn't come with the Augmented Steam features. Makes comparing prices effortless, and offers way more info about the game than the vanilla Steam. Instead of going to multiple sites like SteamDB, HowLongToBeat, Isthereanydeal etc. all that is condensed into the Steam store page. Sure, I could do all that manually and slower, but why?

You can ignore the people complaining about AI. All the AI does is summarize reviews, and you can disable that feature, like any feature, if for some reason you don't like it. But this is exactly the type of thing AI should be used for. Summarizing hundreds of reviews so you don't have to scroll the endless cesspool that is the Steam Reviews to find the few with actual info in them.

Making an AI feature opt-out? Guess I'll be opting out of using this extension while I'm at it

It used to be decent but, I am no longer using it due to AI features being added.

Great plug-in until they forced AI slop into it. Can't reccomend this less at the current moment.

Was good until they added AI slop to it. It's on by default and completely useless. It's inaccurate. Creator doesn't care and still begs for money on Patreon.

First: This plugin has been extremely useful to me, especially as a desktop Linux & Steam Deck user who loves being able to see the ProtonDB status of any game immediately while browsing Steam. Plus, the highlighting features and the instant price summaries are great. It genuinely makes looking through the store a better experience.

However, I'm very disappointed to see something like VaporLens embedded and activated by default in an otherwise great plugin. I get enough "AI" garbage everywhere else on the Internet now, and I'm honestly sick of it at this point. As far as I'm concerned, something like that should be opt-in, not opt-out.

Most of the functionality in this addon is quite good. But force-enabling AI slop through VaporLens made me switch to an alternative.

Amazing add-on. That said, adding two 'disruptive' external features by default just doesn't feel right. Sure, some people might find them useful (not even arguing for the AI aspect of vaporlens), but it should be a choice on the user to turn them on, same as every other option in the add-on.
That and the two newly added things (vaporlens and steampeek) are huge and take up a big part of the screen surprisingly.
Also don't expect people to read every part of a changelog every time just to see what you arbitrarily decided to add.

Hard to live without this extension. If you use Steam, you need this, period.

That said, please keep VaporLens. The hyper reactionary folks are a vocal minority. It's useful to me. Users can turn it off if you they like it. What a silly thing to be upset about. I'm shocked it's even up for discussion and might be removed over a few complaints. Like, it's optional, like just turn it off if you don't like it lol. It takes longer to complain about than to disable it in the AS options and never be troubled again.

Also please keep the vaporlens support. Its quite useful.

This is a fantastic add-on for anyone that uses Steam more than just to play a couple specific games and be done with it. All the features that help with Wishlist management, ITAD integration for showing your other libraries, price comparisons and review summaries are just indispensable for frequent Steam users. Thank you dev!

I am staunchly anti-ai but the announcement was heavily appreciated and I think you're doing things right.
I checked the VarporLens summary features for store pages since it seems to be controversial, but since it's so hard to miss and has been announced, I can't say it's a bad feature when you can go turn it off if you dislike it. This combined with "I can say that I am not using and will not use AI or AI tools on either IsThereAnyDeal or Augmented Steam," has my continued trust and support.

Created a Firefox account just to leave this review because of the backlash over VaporLens. If people don't like it, they can turn it off. The first time I saw it, I liked the info it presented and thought it was a useful addition. People trying to have an ideological objection to it aren't even looking at its integration, usefulness, or any tangible factor. They simply hear "AI" and lose all objectiveness. It's fine. Keep it in. You did your due diligence and I agree with your choices. Thanks for the incredibly useful free add-on.
