I've read that this has happened before. yet there appears to be no accessible advise on how to resolve it. Thus I'm left with the add-on's major benefit completely missing and no way to resolve it. This will force me to use an alternative.

Chrome is more 'popular' because it's literally forced on everyone and preinstalled on everything.
