Seit dem Update funktioniert das biometrische Entsperren der Firefox Erweiterung nicht mehr. Habe mehrfach versucht, sowohl Browser Add on als auch Desktopversion neu zu installieren, inkl. Löschen von Chronik und Firefoxspeicher. Nach Neuinstallation wird eine Fehlermeldung im Desktopprogramm angezeigt, dass ich nicht die aktuelle Add on Version habe. Es gibt nur eine Erweiterung im Add on store und ich hoffe, dass ich dort immer die aktuellste Version sehe. Die Einstellungen in der Desktopversion sind wie immer auf Biometrie eingestellt.

Since the update, the biometric unlocking of the Firefox extension no longer works. I have tried several times to reinstall both the browser add-on and the desktop version, including deleting the history and Firefox memory. After reinstallation, an error message is displayed in the desktop program that I do not have the current add on version. There is only one extension in the add on store and I hope that I always see the latest version there. The settings in the desktop version are set to biometrics as usual.

    Great extension but requires lots of memory and I suspect memory leak problem. The longer the extension is opened the more memory it takes. Browser without this extension switched on takes 600MB memory and after switching it on takes 2600MB. This should be investigated. Users are complaining about that sinco at least 2022.

    The default click action on the passwords shown in the drop down list should be to fill the form, not to enter into the details of a login, this was a recent change that's annoying.

    Also, I notice spikes in CPU usage from this extension, that are power hungry and impacts my battery life a lot in desktop.

    Well its ok, but also sucks. For example, it has a report that shows you where you reuse passwords. If you have a single entry that has two different URL's like parts.ford.com and ford.com, it counts that as two passwords, however it is only one. And if from that report you try to delete one, it deletes them both. This kind of BS goes on throughout the app. It seems to be developed by folks who don't think deeply.

    Another example? No 2 sites on the internet agree on what makes a password. Some only only all 10 characters, some 20, some restrict what special characters can be used, others dont. Instead of letting you quickly adjust when adding a site or changing a password you have to go change the default settings for the password generator, and then remember to set them back to something secure. Just asinine.

    Amazing app, and with a selfhosted service like vaultwarden you can manage your own passwords. I have used dashlane and 1password (both are great), but being opensource makes bitwarden the better choice in my honest opinion.

    1 step forward 2 steps back. Each realease makes annoying ui changes that make it less user friendly. Latest version, ctrl+y to (in firefox) doesn't give focus to the search vault. It may sound trivial, but when I use this password manager in very delicate environments, using the mouse to search is a pain in th a$$

    Doesn't work with biometrics on either Windows desktop or android. Constantly logs you out even after adjusting settings, and doesn't connect to desktop app properly.
