Looks like it's old and outdated and hasn't been updated in 3 years. It really doesn't do anything. For example: If you browse to Yahoo's main page and click the add-on icon, it only blocks the shopping basket icon or the 3 dotted vertical icon next to each article or the mail icon on top of the page. If you click on an article in Yahoo, a popup window in Yahoo let's you read the article and if you click on the add-on icon again, it only blocks all the photos and icons under the Yahoo popup window. One star for the effort.

Tested on Firefox 82. All videos are still visible. About 50% of images are removed.

This add-on doesn't block anything from LOADING, it just hides them away from the screen, that is, the Page is fully loaded, including images and videos, they are just not displayed (to test it, load any Page with images blocked, go off-line, then disable bocking, and the images will pop back up instantly). May have some use for someone that wants all images loaded, but just don't want to see them, but that's too specific. To most, it's pretty useless, and misleads people to think they are saving bandwidth (author should clarify that fact on description).

Reduce data usage

Has worked perfectly for me so far. If I were to make a feature request it would be to have a whitelist/blacklist of sites we do/don't want to block images on (and the choice of whether to default to block or don't block)

Not always work on some websites. Such as https://www.abc.net.au/

Works well if you are willing to take the time to explore which options work for you and the Web sites you usually visit.
On further use, found that you have to disable it in FF 68.0.1 for printing to work.
