White is not too bright so your eyes can still rest. Text selection has a white background colour too.
Rollback to version 1.4.1 if you still have the previous UI version of Firefox. That way, you'll have access to the line on top of your current active tab since I removed it because it looked ugly on the new version of Firefox. It will be a white line by the way.
