Works much better than other extensions. There are some others that broke the websites and delay to load until the theme is changed. This ones work perfectly, I even didn't notice the difference between this extension and youtube black theme.

It is the only one I know that achieves a dark background on the web pages, and it works without me doing anything.

I tried "Stylus" but it's too complicated for me.
I hope that in the future Firefox will allow add-ons to do their job without requiring "access your data for all websites".
For now, I am trusting it because "Recommended" by Firefox.

Really like it, but it slows down firefox way too much

Tried hundreds of modes, this one is cleanest and most easy on eyes

few days my internet became so slow.
I couldn't understand what make my browsing so slow... until I have disabled the Dark Reader :(

SUPER! La seule extension que j'ai trouvé qui permette de régler la luminosité indépendamment du thème (jour/nuit). Plus le mode sépia qui permet de "casser" la lumière bleue de l'écran, parfait quand il se fait l'heure de dormir. En plus de Redshift qui tourne sur ma Lubuntu c'est parfait. Merci!

This is an awesome addon, very useful. However, I would love to see its performance improved. It clearly slows done the loading of a page, even simple ones.

Ставилось для чтения переводов вебстраниц на translate.google.com. Панель переводчика конвертирует, но фрейм с текстом перевода остается в оригинальных цветах. Также, в отличие от штатного Firefox Reader View не позволяет задавать гарнитуру, кегль, межстрочный интервал и кернинг. Наконец, сепию считаю необходимым заменить или дополнить красным фильтром, для чтения перед сном. Firefox 66.0a1 x64, Windows 10.

Upd. Google Docs 2025-09 с использованием динамического применения стилей: «"Dark Reader" is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop that extension».
