This extension is very power to disable AI overview. I am very like their solution: Stop all actions, requests of AI overviews. I used it on my laptop, so good. Thanks for your help.

This is amazing!
Most AI blocking add-ons merely hide it from search results, but this one blocks it altogether which is what I've been looking for.
I hate that the forced implementation of AI in search engines is contributing to the depletion of drinking water, pollution of marginalized communities, rapidly rising electricity costs, and spread of misinformation.
None of us consented to this!
Tools like this help us opt out of being complicit.

Was looking for a way to disable this crap by default on brave search till I asked using the "ask ai" button.

The setting for that gets cleared when I close my browser along with a ton of other data and it defaults always on (meaning I had to reset the option every time I closed the browser).

So, I got this and set it on my bar at the top. Now, when I wanna search and ask AI right away I click the icon in the top of my browser, then change the addon settings from "always allow" to "on click" only to revert the change back after I am finished. Plus, if I wanna ask after I search I can just click the ask button and it works even with the addon running.

It does the job I wanted perfectly, that is worth it at least 4 stars, but the fact that its easy to use warranted 5 imo.

Very useful! It's a shame Bing doesn't provide any way to opt-out AI overviews, but let's just change search engine!

MAY ETERNAL PRAISE BE UNTO YOU. I had already left Chrome and was about to quit all things Google. Absolute nonsense, AI Overview. This is Google the way it was meant to be, like in 1999. One clean screen and 10 blue links.

I hate seeing the AI overview on google, AI is not only detrimental to our environment but it's not even right half the time. A simple change that makes a big difference for me when I'm searching. I'm trying to use google not ChatGPT
