What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or applications?

This information may include hardware version, firmware version, software version, operating system version, Everykey software configuration variables (such as configured unlock distance, email preferences), and unique identifiers such as serial number. This information may also include information about requests against the Everykey API and 3rd party analytics APIs such as IP, timestamp, request type, and request payload. The aforementioned information will never include a plaintext password or encryption key. You may also enter your device, application, and website passwords through an application or web browser. Additionally, while browsing websites, an Everykey browser extension may collect data from the website (such as usernames, passwords, names, addresses). This data may ultimately be stored on a remote server, in an encrypted or hashed form. Please refer to the sections on Passwords and Security and Limitation of Liability for more information.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or in one of our applications, browse websites using an Everykey browser extension, browse our website, use one of our applications or browser extensions, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, use live chat, open a customer support ticket, send us an email, or provide us with feedback on our products or services.
How do we store information?
Your name, email, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and security questions are stored in plain text on our servers. Your Everykey account password is hashed. All other information that is stored on our servers is either encrypted or hashed. When collecting this information, the information is sent to our server over a TLS encrypted channel.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
- To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
- To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
- To allow us to verify your identity in any communication with an Everykey employee or representative
- To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other feature.
- To ask for ratings and reviews of services or products.
- To follow up with you after correspondence (live chat, email, customer support ticket, or phone inquiries).
- Information collected by Everykey is not shared with anybody unless covered by a Non-Disclosure Agreement and is never sold.
Passwords and Security

Limitation of Liability
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EVERYKEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF EVERYKEY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY EVENT, EVERYKEY WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY AMOUNT IN EXCESS OF THE PRICE YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights in addition to or instead of this limited warranty.
