Fireside Chats enables real-time and persistent discussions tied to the website you are visiting, powered by the Nostr decentralized messaging protocol.

Anyone can view public conversations associated with a page. To send messages, users authenticate using a Nostr identity (public/private key pair). Messages are relayed via Nostr relays and may persist according to relay policies.

The extension does not operate a centralized server and does not require proprietary accounts. Conversations are public by default and designed for open, page-based discussion rather than private messaging or social feeds.

This add-on is provided free of charge.
