Perfect, exactly what I was looking for, I find this extension even better than "YoutubeDigest" (which has more downloads and reviews), here you can customize your prompt however you like, no login required, just make sure to have either a ChatGPT account connected OR an OpenAI API key if you have one, you can even generate with GPT 4 if you have a subscription plan, but GPT 3.5 is sufficient for summarizing YouTube videos in my opinion, you just need to find the right prompt.

    This was the best YT summarizer then the developer rudely advised got too busy to look after the Firefox side and now will only concentrate on Chrome so now doesnt work at all but for some reason, they will not pull it from Mozilla. Waste of time trying

    this one only transcribed the video and it kind of messed up the youtube site

    Finally, found YT transcript summarizer that works as good as dozens of one's available for Google Chrome. This one needs your OpenAI API key, else it'll give error when summarizing. Also allows you to specify prompt for summarizing the transcript. That way can make it more detailed, rather then vague.

    This is the best ever youtube summary extension. I have been using Youtube Digest previously, but this one shines.

    I see the extention give the prompt, but i don't get a resposne and it doesn't even fill the placeholders for title and transcript in my promt
