I don't use for video, but this is the BEST hangouts addon I've found in firefox. I've installed every other one and they are ALL just wrappers for the hangouts website. what this one does differently from the others is it acts like the app that chrome has where it runs independently as opposed to an ugly/weird sidebar or popup from the menu.

It works, but video is choppy. I'm sure this is not the add-on developer's fault.
I have the same experience without the add-on.

NOTE: FreeBSD 11.2
The webcam is snappy and responsive when using other applications to stream video, such as VLC, Webcamoid, etc..

Basically just a pinned Google Hangouts tab on the right side of the screen.
Nothing that really makes it useful.

Why do you make such a large window, only to have such a small area for chat ?

Why do you make a window without a minimize ?

When I pop out the chat, it is difficult to find. Really, all I want is a reasonably sized window, a hidable panel for contacts, and the rest of the space for chat. Simple. What is the point of all that space if you can't use it.
