The extension works in the following way:

The extension gets displayed as an address bar button, if a normal google search is done
By clicking the button:

all unnecessary parts of the google search url getting stripped out
the extracted google search url getting copied to the systems clipboard in the following format: www.google.*/search?q=*[&tbm=*]
