Ever saved a picture only to end up with a .webp or .avif file? Image Converter turns it into a standard JPG or PNG in one right-click.

How it works

1. Right-click any image on a webpage
2. Choose "Save Image As…", then PNG or JPG
3. The converted file lands in your downloads, keeping the original file name

What it converts

Any image Firefox can display: WebP, AVIF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, BMP and more. Save as PNG for lossless quality with transparency, or JPG for smaller files (transparent areas become white). Conversion happens solely in your browser.

About permissions

Most conversions work right away. When an image is hosted on a different site than the page you're on (a CDN, for example), Firefox may show a one-time prompt for access to that site. Review or revoke grants in the Add-ons Manager under Image Converter's Permissions tab, which also offers an "Access your data for all websites" toggle that skips future prompts.
