Prevent loading/downloading unnecessary video when listening to music on youtube/youtube-music. Ideal for low bandwidth/limited quota internet situations

Hey please make it possible to activate this App on one TaB and from that point on to have deactivated in all new tabs. Atm I have to deactivate for each new Tab which is Quite annoying.

3 stars until I test it on normal videos and then on live videos tonight to see exactly how much bandwidth is saved. After installation, I do see YouTube showing the video and the ads are blocked. If the app limits 1 hour of YouTube streaming data to 200mb or lower I will change this to 5 stars. Edit: It's under 200mb but when I got back home and my phone automatically switched to WiFi it froze up YouTube and I had to restart the phone entirely to get YouTube to work again with the extension.

it really save the cpu resource, but do not save bandwidth, if internet is slow the music still buffers, i monitored with task manager

The addon works beautifully. I think the default shortcut for activating it on current tab is ctrl+arrow up

Please add next song button on notification, so YouTube music can play next song on background. I'm using Xiaomi redmi 3 turbo

It works well on mobile, but if you turn off the screen and you're listening to a playlist on mobile YouTube, it stops at the end of the current video.

agree with the person who said that sometimes you have to refresh youtube when turning the video on or off. I have never experienced this with the chrome version though.

the best addon for audio only but it fails to play videos very often and needs to reload...

Does not work any more with new picture in picture YouTube mode, please fix if It Is possibile! Playback is arrested when Firefox Is minimized, when returning to tab page reloads.... This happens with Ublock origin, Tampermonkey and YouTube High Definition active extensions but unfortunately also if any other is deactivated, with any internal setting.
When extension Is loaded YouTube video doe not play at all.
My system is Android 13, phone is Xiaomi Note 10S.
On Windows I think that this extension is of little use with other ad-block installed.
Updated at 03/07/2024: please check if disabling picture in picture capability of Firefox solves the problem.
"Video background play fix" extension works better but also this trick is not 100% definitive, code must be updated to manage new YouTube non-premium feature probably introduced purposely.
As another useful information, disabling Ublock Origin and enabling Ghostery video playback issue seems fully solved, obviously with Music Mode extension disabled...

I love the form and function to just block off 90 percent of YouTube on Web browser is a big feat but running the add on through a generic android 13 tablet is so unstable scrolling up or down the page runs away then refreshes constantly.

The extension stops during a video. You must close the page and reload it again and go to the extension to make it on to this page. Please fix it
This happens on youtube when i hear a song with lock screen on. I go to the extention it doesn't open and must reload the page again, go to the extention and enable it on again
