No it does not... The notes are not related to the webpages at all... It's just a notes sidebar.

Great idea but badly implemented: Shame that notes were not based in an open standard. As Mozilla will close the service soon and all the effort would be useless :(

It does what it says just fine. I also like that there's an option to "export notes". But when I use dark mode, there's this jarring white bar at the bottom. And the "3 dots" button blends in with it. Also why isn't this a standard function and not an extension?
