I remember it was a basic feature in firefox. I never understood why they removed it. Thank you for bring it back. Would be nice to have back also the option in bookmarks to open a link by default in sidebar (could you make it? maybe using bookmark tags? when you tag it "sidebar", you open this way?)

Would be a 5* if there was an option to keep the app open so I could have youtube music in the sidebar while working and just close it and it still plays music.

I there a way to prevent links from other domains to open in a new tab so I can fluently navigate always inside the sidebar?

Kudos to the developer. One simple request. Can you add an option that gives an URL for Open In Sidebar to open by default. That is whenever the side bar is empty after say it is toggled from History or Bookmarks.

Good extension but could one improvement be made. For example, I want my pinned tabs to always open in the sidebar. Another option is to have an option which sites always open in the sidebar.

Hello sir, I like your extension. However, can you add a toolbar button? I would like a toolbar button due to easier interaction with the extension.

Open in Sidebar context menu items could also have a separate option to disable which would be added after the actual button would be implemented, because I have concern about context menus cluttering.

fuckin love this extension. extremely useful for some stuff, haven't had a complaint yet. Insane how few downloads it has.

How to make side panel resizable:
Updated instructions for Feb 2024 (I'm on Firefox version 123)

- Go to about:support
- in Application Basics section find row called Profile Directory, click on Open Directory button
- Close all firefox running instances
- In that folder, find xulstore.json and open it with a text editor
- Find where it says "sidebar-box":{
- inside those brackets look for "style":
- inside this find width: and replace with the following:
width: 50%; max-width: none !important; min-width: 0px !important;

- if you did it correctly it should look like this: "style":"-moz-box-ordinal-group: 3; order: 1; width: 50%; max-width: none !important; min-width: 0px !important;","checked":"true"

- save the file and close, open Firefox and enjoy!

It works but not being able to resize the sidebar to any width is incredibly annoying.

Useless. The sidebar is huge and doesn't work great with messengers.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to load properly, causing layout/style issues.
