I was very happy to see this extension, I had a similar one a long time ago that stopped working. It would be a great feature - if it worked. Unfortunately, there are major bugs and the developer hasn't responded for months. According to his profile, he's in Ukraine, so I hope things are ok with him. It's a good idea, but too buggy to use. Colours get applied to the wrong tabs, or in a different window, don't restore correctly after restart, etc.

The new version 2.0.0 was just released, with many bug fixes and improvements. I hope you could give a second try to TST Colorize Tabs, and it will not dissapoint you this time!

    Installed the extension and it doesn't colorize the tabs on the tab bar. Only in the sidebar, which i don't use. It does what it says it does, but the color only being applied on the sidebar tabs should be explicitly mentioned in the description imo.

    Not sure if this is happening because i have a firefox theme or not tho.

    This addon is created specifically for TreeStyleTabs addon, and only colorizes tabs on the sidebar. It should not do anything with your regular tab bar on top. I guess I should modify the description in order to highlight that.

    It works for me, and it helps managing tabs while dealing with ADHD.

    I appreciate this extension and I also hope you are doing ok in the Ukraine. You are in our prayers.

    This is a great idea that doesn't work - consistently randomly colors tabs and, as many have said, does NOT survive a browser restart - colored tabs go willy nilly. I only want to color a few and I get 10s of tab coloring on their own. Too buggy to be helpful.

    Must have add-on if you're using TreeStyleTabs (which is required). Dream came true.

    Almost what I've been looking for.
    One problem I see is that colored tabs do not survive browser restart.

    Restoring colors on browser restart was fixed in the new version 2.0.0 of TST Colorize Tabs

    Love it! Just what I needed! Would be great if it was colorizing automatically new or moved tab based on parent nevertheless even with manual colorization the tabs findability is improved dramatically. Simple yet useful. Thanks!

    I've been looking for an addon to do this for a long time. It works as I want it to.

    I realize that the instructions said it needs Tree Style Tabs, but I did not realize that that meant the custom tab colors would only show up in the Tree Style Tab list and not across the main tab bar itself. Perhaps this point could be clarified in the instructions?

    Anyway, once I realized where the colors showed up, I was happy to have access to options I'd wanted to have for a long time. Well done to the developer, emvaized!

    Sorry to give a bad rating but it simply doesn't work AT ALL. Not without a theme and not WITH a theme. Just simply adds options to my tabs that doesn't do anything.

    Hi Sara,
    Sorry to hear that. It may be some other addons conflicting, which set their own tabs colors. Or it may also be your custom CSS setup in TreeStyleTabs, which overrides tabs colors.

    I can't think of any other reason why tabs colors are not displayed to you.

    I like this add-on!
    However, it doesn't seem to work properly after session restoration after restarting Firefox in multi-window.
