A great app from a brilliant company. The extension has all the core features of the desktop/mobile app equivilent, and is quick and easy to use. The benefit is you get a VPN connection within the browser while other apps open stay on your original network.
Proton is fully encrypted and cares about your privacy – Something that cannot be said about many VPN providers

I am very happy with this app. In response to a previous reviewer: I run the app on Linux Mint with Firefox as browser and have not experienced any hick-ups what so ever. It reconnects automatically on start-up and just performs great overall. Very pleased! I recommend it to all my friends and family...

1 star until issue on linux versions of firefox is fixed - also confirming the bug that other users reviewing have pointed out.
if browser/session restarts the extension needs to be disabled re-enabled or sometimes removed and reinstalled for it to work.
otherwise a great extension.

A simple to use VPN, especially for subscribers, but unreliable; the extension consistently disconnects intermittently, requiring disabling and re-enabling the extension several times to re-establish a connection.

For free it's a bull shit, worse than Browsec VPN.
