Also been getting error 429 (too many requests) when browsing reddit recently and I think it's because of this (because I have nothing else on my PC that would be trying to access the site besides directly opening web pages).
Edit: It was fine (no errors) immediately after I disabled the extension and has been fine. Just now after reading that developer response I re-enabled it and got that error again immediately. So there is some kind of problem somewhere in there related to the extension (don't know where).Developer response
posted 2 days agoThanks for the feedback. The recent Reddit changes did temporarily break the extension, but that should be fixed in the latest update (v3.2).
Regarding the "Too Many Requests" error, the extension is designed to be very light. It makes a maximum of 4 requests per minute (2 for your profile, plus up to 2 for subscriptions to "other" comments or posts). This is very unlikely to be enough to trip Reddit's limit. - Rated 1 out of 5by SlyFox, a month agoDo not download this, and if you have it, remove it.
It was good once upon a time, but now the functionality is broken and it is a resource hog like nothing else for some reason. I removed it after seeing some weird resource spikes in Firefox and my RAM usage went down by 9 whole gigabytes and CPU utilization went down from 15% to 0.3%.Developer response
posted a month agoThis extension hasn't changed in 8 months, and I can't imagine how it could use 9GB of ram. Browsers have restrictions that do not permit extensions to hog resources like that.
