- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19037168, 15 days agoIve had this extension for mobile and pc and it used to work but it almost never works anymore. I've blocked several sites that keep popping up and it never has the block site buttons anymore. To add a site to blacklist I have to go digging through settings and manually type it out. Even then it doesn't want to work.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Big Keith, a month agoThis is a really helpful app. Until it stops working every few weeks. I have a block list of 200 sites and when it works, they do not show up.
I mostly use DuckDuckGo as my search engine in Firefox. I used to use StartPage mainly, these days just occasionally. I get the same problems whatever search engine I use.
Very often, the option to block the site is not appearing under the search results on my phone. But it still blocks those I have added in the past.
When uBlacklist stops working, when you open a second tab it will only block websites in the first tab. Pretty unhelpful...
Even worse, like now, it is not blocking anything and the option to block the site is not there. I have removed, restarted Firefox and re-added, no difference. Remove, reboot, readd, no difference.
It is a mystery how the basic functionality of the app can be so flakey. Whatever is going on with the coding, either in Firefox updates or uBlacklist updates, it breaks and functions are lost.
But when it works, I love it. Just wish it worked more often... - Rated 2 out of 5by Ben SALT.id, 6 months agoTry to add *://*.tribunnews.com/*

- Rated 2 out of 5by Arctic Circle System, 2 years agoIt does prevent blacklisted sites from being displayed in your search results, but that's it. It doesn't actually block them from your search results.
What's the difference? Simple. When you first search for a given term without blocking any sites, Google displays a list of 8 results. It increases when you scroll down due to the annoying infinite scroll feature, but the first set has 8 results.
However, when you blacklist one of those sites with this extension, instead of showing a list of 8 results without that site, it instead shows a list of 7 or fewer results, indicating that the site still exists in your search results, it's just not being displayed by your browser. This can sometimes result in strange gaps in displayed results if a page of search results happens to be entirely composed of blacklisted results.
2/5, does not function as advertised, but it does at least prevent blacklisted sites from being displayed. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13856321, 2 years agoThis extension will cause malfunction of AdGuard. Google Ads in the search results will not be blocked by AdGuard if this extension is enabled.
