NoScript Security Suite by Giorgio Maone

by Firefox user 10919506, 8 years ago"To all the people complaining about the new UI (not that I expect any of them to see this): Giorgio can't revert back to the old UI because that kind of UI is no longer supported on Firefox 57 and above. Nice things like native drop-down menus and dialog boxes are no longer allowed. Those were part of XUL addons. Now we only have WebExtensions add-ons à la Chrome, and if you know Chrome, you know that its add-on interface situation is the same. "Nice" UIs have been prohibited by Mozilla, on purpose, so your gripe is with them, not with Giorgio, the developer of this add-on.
I do agree that the UI could use some work anyway, though, in terms of understandability, ease of use, and looks. But this is still an early version which had to be released in a rush, so give it a while.
I'll still deduct one star from my previous rating because too much comfort functionality is missing at the moment. Temporary exceptions, selective and site-wide, were one of my most-used features of NoScript, and they're not in yet. Also, the options screen is severely lacking, a lot of the behaviour I used to customise can't be changed right now. I assume that all of these things are still possible, and just haven't been implemented yet. Part of that blame, once again, can be put on Mozilla for their hasty and clumsy shutdown of XUL extensions and the rushed und grossly unfinished transition to WebExtensions, which is making life hard for all add-on developers."

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19806246, 2 months agoThis is one of the most distinctive Firefox add-ons for me. To be honest, I'm not using it right now because I'm still learning how to use it more effectively. I'm actually trying to learn more about internet security, and I've noticed that using this add-on is great for protecting your privacy from malicious JavaScript. I highly recommend it. Thank you.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Heather, 2 months agoProbably one of the most essential addons for firefox, next to ublock. Great for security but it's recommended to have a tech background cuz the default settings can break many sites.

- Rated 5 out of 5by noewaeda, 2 months agoit's an essential extension. without it, using the internet is like walking directly into a warzone.
on the strict setting, it makes browsing slightly more clunky due to having to give websites some trust, but it's usually not that big of a deal. - Rated 5 out of 5by Max Rower, 2 months ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by fidius, 2 months agoI uninstalled this extension because it randomly started interfering with browsing due to some nonsense swipe-style gesture 'feature'. Used to be a good extension but I'm not inclined to trust it anymore.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19773062, 2 months agoDue to a bug that effected mobile scrolling, I disabled Noscript for a day and discovered what a horrible experience browsing was without it.
It seems the bug is now fixed, and in record time too. Thanks Giorgio. Fantastic extension.
