This YT downloader does what I need it to do and I have no complaints whatsoever. Some have said it doesn't work, well, for me it does. It's not a discontinued add-on here on the Philipines. As for in the US, well, I can't speak to that...

Finally a youtube downloader extension that actually works consistently (for now). Former standbys have been wonky with downloading only partial file that makes no sense. And another that is somewhat better would take forever to convert the file but never show the popup message to save the actual file. I don't have the patience to wait into eternity for whether the saving option ever shows up.

Here, boom, click download of desired file size (thankfully with several options, especially smaller, as not everyone wants to download the huge 1080 that takes up too much drive space) and the save dialog box immediately pops up to save the file. Fast saving, as well.

It had been such an empty and futile search for an extension to download youtube videos seamlessly and dependably. Thankfully I found this app with high ratings that were recent, as well.

Firefox version 135.0 has been confirmed to work properly. This is very good.
