Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with the extension. Does the issue persist even after you restart the computer?
If so, please email us all the details to support+x@1password.com and we’ll help you get things up and running again as soon as possible.
Looking forward to hearing from you. - Rated 1 out of 5by aquibf, 3 years agoDoes not work in safe browsing mode. The application on Windows is reduntant and never has been of any use.

posted 3 years agoHi there,
When Firefox is set to run in private browsing mode it completely prevents our extension from being able to write files into Firefox's local storage, which is a requirement in order for the extension to be able to establish your 1Password account and your database in the browser.
You can still open and use private browsing windows manually, which will allow you to enjoy both worlds - you can enjoy a more private and secure browsing session, while still having 1Password operational in your browser 😊
If you have any questions, we’d love to elaborate. Please drop an email to support@1password.com and we’ll be happy to help. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15815334, 3 years agoRequires me to sign in to my 1Password account separately from the 1Password Windows app I already have on Windows. Also have to sign in again on Edge, etc. Are you kidding me? They can't talk to each other??? And you have to sign in every time you open the browser. Plus the add-on disappears randomly. Epic fail.

It sounds like there might be something that is breaking the integration between the extension and your 1Password app.
We’d love to help you with it though! Please email us all the details to support+x@1password.com and we’ll get you up and running in no time :)

posted 3 years agoHey,
As much as we would love to, we don’t offer live chat support at this time. We offer excellent email support and we find this more efficient as we are able to point users to the correct guides and list all the steps needed.
Please drop an email to support@1password.com if there is anything we can help with at all! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17232225, 3 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by LauGau, 3 years agoThe extension is getting worse and worse :
- No more ability to unlock automatically the extension if the desktop app is unlocked.
- No more ability to do a quick edit on the extension anymore.
- No more sync between browsers..
- No more edit in the (not anymore native) app..
- Still no TouchID unlock...
I paid a premium for this service because it's was more convenient then the free ones... If it's not the case anymore, I don't see why I should still paying for that.
I also wish to be able to create my own "item type" but, please get right with the basics first...Developer response

It no longer integrates with the desktop application, but seems to integrate with the vaults shared via 1password.com only - I obviously don't keep any of my useful passwords there, only low value ones shared with my wife via the family subscription.
For all my real passwords, I want to retain control so I protect and sync those files outside 1password.Developer response
posted 3 years agoHey Xyzzy01,
This extension works directly with 1Password.com accounts and vaults. It can and does still integrate to the desktop app, but locally stored vaults are not supported and require the old classic extension which can be obtained here: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/
We strongly recommend migrating your data into your 1Password.com account to get the best out of your 1Password and enjoy a proper experience.
If you have any security concerns, we’d love to address them all and elaborate on how we (and you) keep your data safe! Feel free to email us to support@1password.com with any question/concern and we’ll reply as soon as possible. - Rated 1 out of 5by siuKing, 3 years agoI used 1Passord for ages and it was the best experience I've had with managing passwords. Now that I use MacOS Monterey and since there is 1Password7 it's just pure trash. I can't open the classic 1Password App on my Mac (after I type in the password it gets stuck) and I'm not able to add new passwords. The 1Password7 App won't allow me to add new passwords. The extensions either in safari and in Firefox don't work at all. I don't know what I have to do to get the extensions to work. Honestly... at this point I'm so disappointed that I actually think about asking my money back since it just stopped working properly for me.

posted 3 years agoHey siuKing,
Sorry to hear you’re having troubles with 1Password. It sounds like you might have been working with a previous 1Password version (1Password 6 or earlier) with a standalone license, and then updated to 1Password 7 when you updated your Mac.
1Password 7 requires a 1Password.com account, which you can sign up for here: https://1password.com/sign-up
Once you create an account and add it to the 1Password 7 app, it will be activated and autofilling should work.
If that is not the case or if you are still having troubles, please do contact us at support@1password.com and we’ll be more than happy to help! - Rated 1 out of 5by Nikos, 3 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17097390, 3 years agoAs others said before, the extension (Firefox and Chrome) is close to unusable.
I have two 1PW accounts, company and private. Before the update it was no problem to have both accounts available at the same time. Since the update I have to unlock my private account every day before I can enter my passwords from there.
And Chrome does not "speak" to the 1PW app, I have to type in the password to unlock the extention in Chrome although the app is open and unlocked.
That's all very annoying and I hope they fix it soon.Developer response
posted 3 years agoHey there,
Sorry to hear you’re not having a good experience with 1Password in your browser.
It sounds like the extension is having troubles connecting to your 1Password desktop app. We’d love to help you troubleshoot it!
Please email us at support+x@1password.com and we’ll be happy to help.
As for your different accounts, you can unlock them both if they have the same password. You can use the same password for both accounts because each account still has its own unique Secret Key, which is an additional layer of protection.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
The 1Password team. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17086565, 3 years agoLatest update made 1password unusable. Touchid doesn't works + integration with app doesn't work (unlock in app, doesn't unlock extension). It's time to switch to bitwarden

Sorry to hear you’re having a bit of troubles with the latest update.
Sounds like we just need to re-establish the connection between the extension and the desktop app. A simple restart to your computer should accomplish that!
In case the issue persists, we’d love to troubleshoot this with you via email. Feel free to email us to support+x@1password.com and we’ll help you get things working in no time :) - Rated 1 out of 5by mhv, 3 years agoVery difficult to use.
