- Rated 5 out of 5by Nunya, 4 years agoWorks very well. Interface is easy to use.
The function of this Add-On is difficult to automate because testing all those sites mechanically is going to set off countermeasures. Plus, where cookies have been deleted, the client is going to recognize gateway portals as a failure to load.
I give it 5 stars, but I do recommend that you implement check boxes for batch whitelisting because you're always going to get a lot of false positives.
Kudos.
EDIT: I just noticed the filter boxes at the top of the tree. You might still simplify whitelisting, or allow filtering entries as you go. Still, no redundancies or procedural anomalies. 5/5 - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13663685, 4 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by alatimer, 5 years agoDid what it said it would do and I had a lot of bookmarks to manage.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14306928, 5 years agoIt's a decent tool and does a good job of finding dupes! But there're no mass commands or buttons to deal with the dupes in one shot but rather you have to sit there and manually click on every dupe checkbox to take action.
The Find Broken URLs is a good feature but many websites like linkedin, facebook that do not allow webscrapers, see it as a threat, causing Bookmarks Organizer to generate a false positive report that the bookmark is broken or dead. The average person using this add-on needs to see friendlier http errors such as "the target web url does not allow remote checking!" as opposed to http 404!Developer response

1) It's on the roadmap.
2) Can you please test again with a current version and re-review? Thanks! - Rated 5 out of 5by gnovaro, 5 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12873224, 5 years ago1. When a bookmark is in a subfolder of the bookmarks toolbar, the path is not displayed correctly.
2. Clearing broken bookmarks one by one is a pain. It's useful if you can put a check mark on a few and delete them all at once.Developer response

2) You can already bulk delete all broken bookmarks. - Rated 1 out of 5by Joe Broom, 5 years agoDeveloper: "I think I'll automate the collection of information, but make actually doing anything with it as hard as possible!"
You can't even tab to the button you want to push on the popup.
Windows 3 had a better UI than this.Developer response

The confirmation dialog can be controlled with the keyboard. Please test again with a current version and re-review. Thanks! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15935120, 5 years agoIt can't delete lump of all bookmarks found.
But I check them one by one, so it completely conforms with my use. - Rated 2 out of 5by MaruMaru, 5 years agoClean nice gui, good for finding duplicates, but offers no possibility for mass deletion, which makes it a bit useless :-(
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15995262, 5 years agoSeems almost deliberately slow and tedious, like the developer thinks we want to sit and manually remove 1,000 duplicates one at a time.

posted a year agoThere is a button to delete a duplicate. Can you please test again with a current version and re-review? Thanks!- Rated 3 out of 5by Jamc, 5 years agoFool proof duplicate and dead bookmark organizer ... with a huge BUT ... you have to confirm manually every single change to the corrections (redirect, delete, whitelist) ... and since its visual, you can't select the 'ok' by pressing space or arrows, ..... and this can quickly become very very annoying.
Please add an option to disable the confirmation box. thank you.Developer response
posted a year agoWhen you wrote this review there was already an option to disable the confirmation dialogs in the add-on's settings. Can you please test again with a current version and re-review? Thanks! - Rated 1 out of 5by ltavant, 5 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Khun Roger, 5 years agoI know I've got a lot of bookmarks, but it is supposed to help me get rid of the dead ones and duplicates, so that is exactly what I want it to do.
But Firefox always crashes after about 4,000 are checked, 2,700 warnings and 300 errors.
So why, Mr Developer, don't you add the ability to select which folder of bookmarks to check? Or specify a number of bookmarks to check and then stop, so we can deal with some of the checked bookmarks before it crashes Firefox?
...just an idea.Developer response
