- Rated 4 out of 5by HonestReview, 4 years agoI would rate it 5 if you could bind the shortcuts to whatever key combination you liked (weren't forced to use Ctrl+Shift) and if the shortcuts worked without having to click on the icon the first time.
- Rated 4 out of 5by JWOL, 5 years agoI like it very much as it is a very good addon, but I can't see it because the black icon merges with the background.
It would be nice if you could use the middle gray or switch between white and black so that you can use it. - Rated 4 out of 5by Excigma, 6 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14562799, 6 years agoEasy to use & perfect, except in Firefox 66.05 the copy to clipboard button did not work. Clicking on the text from the OCR, then to select all, then copy to clipboard, it was perfect. No mistakes at all

The extension can read the content of any web page you visit as well as data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords. - Rated 4 out of 5by Azulado, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Murphy's Puppet, 7 years agoI have tested this add-on using English, Japanese and Spanish text, and its yield has been surprisingly successful. Not perfect, but good enough.
I tried it on complex and difficult to read text (from blurry or pixelated photos) and the results, although not completely accurate, were sufficiently close, and in some cases 100% perfect after a few retries.
Copyfish cannot read vertical text at all (such as Chinese or Japanese) but horizontally formatted text is generally not a problem.
There are some quirks with it and the interface can be fiddly. A few times I found myself having to reload the whole page from the browser in order to make the add-on retry the OCR work since the buttons just stopped responding, but it was never more than a small time-consuming problem.
All-in-all this add-on may very well save you a lot of time typing from an image, specially if you don't have the means or ability to type from a language that uses a different alphabet than your own, be that Latin, Cyrillic or Hiragana.
