- Rated 4 out of 5by RichardJT, 17 days agoWell, it seems to make good selectable/editable backups, and exports: once I found out i had to, but couldn't zoom out with Ctrl-, but was forced to Ctrl+scroll, so Import and Download were visible, and Ctrl+scroll yet again to see the name box and Close/OK buttons when saving. It had a nice editor to remove certain items or windows, if anyone's ever found a need to change a tab list outside a browser. And a good editor's a must bc the export file's gobblely-gook would be a challenge to edit. I haven't tried the Import function, as I'll just be keeping the one backup file as backup it put in the Downloads folder, I never located the place they're storing the sessions internally, which forces one to export each session individually This would be good for a one-time transfer of tabs, provided Import works flawlessly, for someone who didn't want timed backups or other bells. Cheers, t
- Rated 4 out of 5by Almustafa Ahmed, a year agoUsed to work great and was amazing, however it randomly stopped working, maybe an update to the extension or to Firefox. Tabs don't open no matter the circumstances, as when i press the restore button, nothing happens. Even tried this on a single tab that i just saved but it still didn't restore.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 9777552, 3 years agoThe best session add-on of all I have tried recently.
What I like: Saved Windows are really restored, not added to the currently open ones, like in other add-ons.
Problems:
1. The regional american date format is used as default session name. This format is used almost nowhere in the world and to the most people looks weird. It would be good to make it configurable.
2. It would be good to save and to restore also the size of each window, ideally as an option, to satisfy more users.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThank you for your review! To address your first point, I'm unsure what how you mean by configurable? Part of my reasoning for choosing the American date format is that it also matches valid characters for the name. I use a whitelist for allowable characters as a security measure. But, yes, also because I'm American and am used to the date format thereof. To your 2nd point, I'll admit I'm unaware of a FF API call to restore window sizes or positions. In addition, I really am trying to keep what data is used/preserved in the JSON blobs to a minimum for simplicity and convenience of upgrading when I must do so. I'd be happy to look over and accept a pull request if someone codes it out, though. - Rated 4 out of 5by spunkfunker, 5 years agoI really like this add on, it's simple and easy to use. However I have one huge problem with it. When you load a saved session it doesn't load the forward or backward tab data. Which is very helpful for people like myself who keep our history on sites like Ebay or Poshmark. If there were a way to fix that issue it would be the perfect session manager!

posted 5 years agoThank you for your review!! I am unaware of a way to pull a tab's history. There is a "session" API that presumably pulls history but looks limited to only a tab that was closed and then opened. The "tab" or "tabs" API doesn't seem to have a history section.
EDIT:
I am also trying to keep the data that is exported as small and simple as possible.
