This is a terrific youtube downloader! I've used it for years, and the developer does a great job of keeping it up-to-date and working.

Only had this for a few months and it works great - except since late March when (apparently) YouTube blocked it. The developer says he's working on a fix and I hope he can get this working again for us all.

Before it worked perfectly, and suddenly it does not work. I can only download 360p but the result is only blank video with a statement "The following content is not available on this app."

I'm learning more all the time about my 3D app, Foundry Modo, to a large degree from YouTube videos. This Easy YouTube Video Downloader Firefox extension has been very useful for collecting these videos in a known place on my local hard drive. Another reason I want to download them is to eventually document them fully using my DBMS to catalog them, including cataloging program times (in seconds) where the references occur in each video, such as various references to terminology, functions, and workflows. I like how simple and accessible it is with its handy dropdown menu under every video, and how the downloads go to my downloads folder. As technology advances on both hardware and software, it's good to have literally global reach to our friends around the globe in support of this technology, notably in India and the Philippines. Deepesh and Dishita have been excellent in this regard in supporting their Easy YouTube Video Downloader Firefox extension. They very much earn and deserve any financial contributions we users can offer.

Great add-on, been already several years downloading videos/mp3 with it.
It fails every few months because of changes in Youtube, but it is usually fixed within days.

This is an excellent add-on for downloading videos from YouTube. I am traveling and don't always have a connection. With "Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express" I can down load and watch whenever I want to. The creator doesn't charge for the addon but does accept donation. I make donations as often as I can and highly recommend all users do. The creator does an excellent job of keeping up with coding changes that block the add-on.

A great extension that has served me very well so far. I hope the developer finds a new solution to the Google/Youtube restrictions so that the add-on works as well as it used to or did a few days ago.
The negative reviews of the last few days are due to the fact that the add-on has actually not been working as well as it used to for a few days now, even though it was the best of its kind until now!

Best YouTube Downloader available. Been using it for 5 years. Can't thank the creator enough. This extension has changed my life and it means so much to me. I intend on supporting by donating regularly once I start my career. Thank you for this! The free version alone has made my life so much easier, listening to youtube videos offline and saving important ones for research and reference in the future - an essential tool for the modern world. Works very well. All 720p videos downloads directly, while 1080p depend on how popular they are. Popular 1080p downloads almost instantly, while unpopular ones can take some time, usually about 1-15min. Note that the 1080p download feature requires the pro version, but it is definitely worth it.
