First, searches are way too limited and unhelpful. If I have to search something here, it means I should not be going back to Google. But out of 10 searches, 7 take me back to Google. For same reason, I have stopped using your default Ecosia browser on all devices. Consider improving searches. Also, what is this new thing forced called weather by accuweather on search results pages without any option to disable or remove it? Dont be like Bing or Google in this case. I could not disable it.Also, cant change the font as the current font is unreadable by me. I use your search on opera browser as default but in all these years, no major updates in search results.
Second, Duckduckgo addon, not only allows us to change search engine but also gives us "option" change the new tab and homepage of browser, here Firefox. Try yourself. But ecosia addon doesnt, so if I had Ecosia addon installed, I see new tab or home tab as default firefox one with google search bar. Consider adding option to change home page image for this too both your collections and manually.
Hoping, you will make this better and I will update my ratings thereafter. - Rated 2 out of 5by Quonit, a year agoI'm not sure how adding AI is helping the trees. It makes me wonder if their whole mission was a scam for the years I used it. It also just has worse results than google, which is terrible, since google has awful results as well.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13278758, 3 years agoLike Trixie, I was so pleased that I could help the world be a better place but as a previous DuckDuckGo user the benefits of it, far outweigh the trees I planted.
Due to concerns about page filtering, malware, and country specific information when searching means I am going back to DDG. I will just give a bit more to tree charities now. - Rated 2 out of 5by Trixie, 3 years agoActually, I kinda like the fact that with my using of the search engine I contribute for a better world. However, it seems to be aimed for people who use google. As a main Duckduckgo user, used to instant correct search result with an easy access to country specific research, I really can't recommend it.
