However, you should add a style rule for black text color, as the popup currently uses the text color of the website. Difficult to read if the text is gray (eg. Reddit night mode) - Rated 5 out of 5by AndyL964, 7 years agoThank you for making this extension. It works just fine in place of the Google Dictionary extension that I miss so much when I switched over to Firefox.
There are some things that I wish you could improve on, however, such as a fix for when the definition bubble pop-ups stick to one side of the screen (or even show up outside of your device's screen, especially on devices that have smaller screens) as well as a when double clicking on a word in the pop-up bubble that creates a new bubble on the edge of the previous one instead of on top of it.
I also have a feature request that would be awesome if you could include, which is the ability for users to set a hot-key (keyboard combination shortcut) for opening up the dictionary.
But still, even if these don't get added anytime soon, I'd still like to thank you for making this extension! - Rated 5 out of 5by Tom, 7 years agoFound your Reddit post because I too missed the popup dictionary extension. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for developing!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13860289, 7 years agoworks very quickly and accurately. however there are NO settings or menu options to configure the add-on so i get definition popups when i'm trying to delete a word or edit my typing and the popup very often just gets in the way. please allow a highlight only option without double clicking, or just do a special key to initiate the dictionary.
- Rated 5 out of 5by pavankm, 7 years agoI was looking for something similar to the Google popup dictionary on Chrome for Firefox Quantum and this extension was the perfect replacement.
Double click to find the meaning of words is super convenient and the results are returned very quick.
Easy to use, Clean to look at and relevant results. - Rated 4 out of 5by fkmzblt, 7 years agoI would like to see implemented some kind of automatic input focus
when I click on the extension icon, it will be a lot faster and easier to use.
Other than that, its great. Thank you. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13832010, 7 years agoWorks almost flawlessly. Although this was inspired by the Chrome extension, I would like to see an option to change search engine.

Only issue is sometimes on webpages with dark backgrounds the text of the popup will be clear on a clear background and it will be impossible or hard to read. - Rated 5 out of 5by Gerald_Sloan, 7 years agoWorks quite well though I'm still searching for other extensions to compare.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Kevin McCormack, 7 years agoOkay, so far. Works as well as the instructions describe -but time will tell as to its durability!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tarpo, 7 years agoThank you very much. This is the most important addon in the world. It's easy and you can use it anywhere except in pdf. I hope the next project is to make this addon to be able to do his job in pdf that open in browser. You are the great man, thank you very much.

- Rated 4 out of 5by R. Hansen, 7 years agoLove it. Double-click on a word, up pops the definition. I would like to be able to select dictionaries, maybe localization, and add an entry to the right-click menu (in case double-click doesn't work, strangely on AMO this happens), but this add-on functions as advertised. Well done, krv5vignesh!
- Rated 4 out of 5by cppxor2arr, 7 years agoThis is extension is useful. Easier to double click than open a new tab and google. Although it would be better if you could configure options like only show definition of selected text when you press a key with it (like CTRL). Also, please just make definitions from double clicking a word in the addon's definition box appear in the same place as the original. The definition keeps going off screen.

- Rated 4 out of 5by atleta, 7 years agoPretty neat. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the positioning of the popup when the selected word is at the right or the bottom edge of the screen. An easy solution would be to move it to the left and top if there isn't sufficient space.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Compujet1, 7 years agoI think could be the best add on with a few tweaks. It very simplistic which is a great thing . there's been some go I d suggestions and mine are things that would make more functional and not take away from the simplistic flow.
The 1 time I want to be a lefty ;) . I'm right and mostly on a tablet or phone so when I highlight I r double click the yellow popup is under my hand. It sounds minor but enough of an inconvenience that I will need to continue my search if a future update is not added for an option for choosing the popup side.
Doesn't need to be fixed as it's not broke but I don't like the delay and inconvenience. I wish Samsung would make a feature when you hover the Pen over a word the definition would pop up as they have pictures and hyperlinks. I think developer has done great job and would love to continue using but the amount I utilize now since getting larger phone I am only the option of some costly clunky app that's way overkill for just what's done here solely with a tiny addon.
If wanting to elaborate on addon as maybe a Pro version, I would say the Ability for us to choose or enter the site used to lookup, Choice from a few colors or a pallete of popup box, Addition of a speaker icon by word to hear it sounded out.
Now the last may be too much to ask for but that's basically what I or know others utilize. Not all these games, words of the day, share the word with everyone and just so much distracting and phone memory using features.
While browsing all needed is - reading, what's that word, click, what's the meaning, how's it sound, continue reading. Perfect App! - Rated 4 out of 5by Inan Hira, 7 years agoAfter my switch back to Firefox from Chrome, this was one of the features I was missing. This extension works good, and does what it's supposed to do.
