- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13474759, 7 years agoThe UI is nice. Too bad about the API limitations. Could you please add a gesture to close the current tab? I know that there is a close window gesture, but closing tabs is a much more common practice.

- Rated 5 out of 5by weixia, 7 years agoOn Linux, when the gesture button is set to "Right", just double-click the right mouse button to bring up the context menu .The author adds this option to those who are accustomed to the right mouse button

posted 7 years agoHey. Unfortunately it is true, this is not FireGesture. There are some API limitations for Firefox 57 and above. Read the Addon description for more informations.
And because of your request, look here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/58 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12841763, 7 years agoThanks for this smooth and nice gesture addon :) Would love a gesture option for 'copy link location' in future. Overall a solid gesture for Quantum and thanks again!
Edit: Thanks for adding copy link URL in latest update! and it's sad to see ignorant users giving negative rating and negative review, only because of Webextension limitation to work on internal pages. Totally not developers fault and I hope you will always motivated to share this awesome extension despite those ignorant users to read description :) - Rated 3 out of 5by Headhunter, 7 years agoFar below the possibilities of DragIt (formerly Drag & Go).
Where is the possibility to put any text in the search bar
With subsequent selection of the search engine? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12956000, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13470674, 7 years agoWorks great. Any chance that gestures would work on blank pages too?

posted 7 years agoSadly no, but you can change the new tab page to a website via extensions like "New Tab Override". - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 5671868, 7 years agoThis good replacement for FireGestures, but I need one very important to me function. Please, please, PLEASE, when I make a search of the selected text by gesture, not do it just by one of search engine, give me a list of my installed search engines. I always need a search on various websites, not just a google or somethings. This was in FireGestures, it's a killerfeature to me, I can't use Chrome or New Firefox without it. Thanks.

posted 7 years agoHey. Do you use Linux or MacOS? Then look here:
> For MacOS & Linux users: Use left or middle mouse button due to the different right click/context menu behaviour (see this bug ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1360278 ))
Also note that:

And here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/6- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13468381, 7 years agoYou get 5 stars for style and coding skill - but also because you're planning to recreate the "Save Image Now" feature from the old FireGestures addon. (This feature instantly & silently saved any jpg, png, gif, etc to the Downloads folder.)
I've used that gesture at LEAST a hundred times a day for the last 5+ years. It has saved me COUNTLESS hours of clicking through menus. Please make it priority? I will name my firstborn kid after you. Seriously.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI'll give my best :) but it will have problems to figure out the right file extensions for unnamed images, so you will have to add it your self (that was the reason why I didn't implemented it yet) - Rated 5 out of 5by Castor, 7 years agoCHANGED ★ TO ★★★★★
Now it works on Linux.
Some years ago I tried to find web-extension as alternative to FireGestures and now it is (not full replace but basic functionality which enough to everyday use). Developer response

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13467733, 7 years agoGood extension, has all the gesture functionality that I need although I run into a bit of an issue with opening tabs.
I like all my new tabs to open at the end of the tab row which is achievable by going into about:config and setting browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false. This opens all tabs at the end of the tab row however for some reason when I open new tab from a link via a mouse gesture it doesn't obey this behaviour and instead opens it next to the current tab.
If there was an option for the behaviour that I want that would be excellent. Developer response
posted 7 years agoHey. Unfortunately that is true, it is an api limitation. But that's in the description.
> The addon does not work on https://addons.mozilla.org, pure svg pages and internal pages like about:newtab, about:addons or other addon option pages.- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12889199, 7 years agoReally happy about how this works, other similar extensions were a bit too sensitive when it came to how the gestures were drawn but this has the perfect balance.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13362736, 7 years agoGood extension, beautifull and efficient, work under fedora 27 (ff57) but with the left button, I prefer the right button that's why I have 3 stars
