posted 7 years agoI guess you are using Linux or MacOS please read the addon description. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13440373, 7 years agoGreat Add-on, a must have for people who are used to do things with Gestures.
For developer I'd like to request if it is possible to "Show sidebars" with a gesture, as in open the sidebar where all bookmarks are with a gesture.Developer response
posted 7 years agoWith the current state of the API this is not possible at the moment. Sorry. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13440350, 7 years agoFirefox Quantumにしたら今までのマウスジェスチャーが使えなくなったので、これを選びました。使いやすいですね。ただ、設定画面の一部のボタンで文字化けが発生しています。

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13431532, 7 years agoDon't work on Linux/Ubuntu. Mouse gestures is the best and practical way to navigate whith a single hand, whitout this feature Firefox become bullshit for me. Uninstalling Firefox and giving a look on Vivalvi. I think Firefox will lose many Linux users. :(

posted 7 years agoPlease read the addon description, the mozilla community is working on a patch. In the meanwhile you have to use middle or left mouse button. Also it seams a little bit unsubstantiated to me, why you down vote an extension if you dislike mozilla/firefox. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13416213, 7 years agoCan't close blank tab、extension tab and mozilla addons page.

posted 7 years agoPlease read the addon description, these are known limitations due to the new API.
However you can get it working on mozilla addons, see here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/6 - Rated 5 out of 5by wantora, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13343974, 7 years agoUtter shit if you are looking for rocker gestures. Doesn't work half of the time....

- Rated 4 out of 5by Stas, 7 years agoNeed:
1 left mouse button gestures for urls and selected text
2 gesture - open url in current pageDeveloper response
posted 7 years ago1) You mean something like a "drag gesture"?
2) Sounds reasonable for non-linked URLs. - Rated 5 out of 5by niedworok, 8 years agoVery good and polished addon.
The sources are available on github, two thumbs up for that. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13371007, 8 years agoHad to replace FireGuestures because firefox 57 happened. This one works well enough, although not everywhere.
Can't say the same about the rest of extensions. - Rated 5 out of 5by Cepro , 8 years agoGreat add-on!
But please correct 'PageUp' /' PageDown' actions in the wheel gestures. They must work continuously, depending on wheel steps: one wheel step - one page up/down, three steps - three page up/down. - Rated 4 out of 5by horna1, 8 years agoZoom step
The zoom in/out step in percentage. If left blank, the default zoom levels are used.
I have custom default zoom levels in about:config and those zoom steps are not working with this addon.
edit.
Custom zoom settings in the addon are not working neither, or am i missing something?
edit.
My bad, custom zoom step is working now, but it can't zoom past 300% and that sucks for me..Developer response
posted 8 years agoThis is because It's not possible to read the settings from about:config with the new API. Therefore I'm using the default firefox zoom level settings.
edit:
What do you mean by "Custom zoom settings"? The "zoom step" is working fine for me, in case you are talking about that.
edit:
I agree, but I can't change it. It is limited by firefox likewise you can't zoom past 300% by pressing Ctrl and + - Rated 5 out of 5by slb, 8 years agoI only use rocker gestures and this is the only addon I've found that's compatible with FF 57+ that supports them. It works fine in firefox 56 too.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13359274, 8 years agoI love this extension, but I need two finger swipe back gesture on ff 57.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Mihailo D., 8 years ago1. Must implement the STOP loading gesture.
2. And should allow me to close a new tab with the close gesture if i didn't opened a page in it (to close it I need to open a page... why?).
Good luck!

Update 15/10/2017
Yes, my bad Robben, I didn't read the part with the HTTPS for addons.mozilla.org links and related to about:home... maybe in the future you'll find a way to be able to close these tabs through mouse gestures such as about:home, about:config... all "about" tabs :).
Anyway, thank you for your work to code this very useful addon!Developer response
posted 8 years agoAbout the second question: This is an API limitation, read the addon description for more information)
What do you mean with the title "Come with support for HTTPS"? The only pages where the addon does not work are described in the addon description and it's working on https pages.

Alright, glad to hear that :) Btw. "stop loading" gesture will be available in the next version.version. - Rated 5 out of 5by Wayne Law, 8 years agoAs addons such as tab mix are disabled in FF57, gesture addons are very necessary. Here Gesturefy offers a friendly UI and a lot of gesture functions, which make using of FF57 easier.
But i found that when i enable Gesturefy, a lot of web pages began to lose response to the keyboard Enter/Return event. An example is baidu.com. When i type in the key words and press Enter, nothing happened. As soon as i disable Gesturefy, the Enter event returns to work. May it can be fixed? Or this will be a little annoying.
Sorry for poor English. Thanks for your great addon! - Rated 5 out of 5by Markus Popp, 8 years agoWhen Firefox has fixed the bug which limits mouse gesture addons on Linux and OS X, this is probably the one I will use in the future.
2 questions:
Since version 1.1.9 Gesturefy doesn't trigger gestures at all on Linux (and maybe also OS X). Have you disabled this on purpose for now?
I can't find a timeout setting (so if the mouse isn't moved for a certain amount of time, the gesture is stopped), like Firegestures has it. Is it possible to implement this feature?Developer response
posted 8 years ago@1. question: Yeah, currently it's limited to middle and left mousebutton only.
@2. question: It should be possible and due to high amount of user request it's planned for the next version (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/gesturefy/reviews/931190/)
Edit: Right click is still working on Linux if you are using this trick: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/1 (just in case you aren't using firefox 57) - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13340800, 8 years agoI think that because it is a WE there is a slight hesitation when using Gesturefy. It would be great if a "time out" for gestures would be incorporated for when I make a mistake. Without it, I just continue makings a meaningless gesture to cancel.

posted 8 years agoIt's planned for the next version 1.1.11 if no critical bug occurs before it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13337966, 8 years agoThis extension is very simple, so easy to handle and just works marvelous! A big Thank You, I like this App very much!
