- Rated 1 out of 5by Andrei, 4 months agoThis does not work at all. I am on Github login page with an open KeepassXC database that has an entry with given URL exactly at it appears in brower with /login and still it says "Error: no logins found. (github url but without /login)"
edit: i'm using the exact URL of github login page, with https, exactly as it appears in browser.Developer response
posted 4 months agoThis only means your entry has an invalid URL for the site. Try using the most simple form, for example https://example.com. The URL scheme also matters. Entry URLs starting with http are not valid for https sites. - Rated 1 out of 5by Nick Richards, 5 months agoAs other users have mentioned, on ubuntu derived distributions this extension works with native browsers but not any browsers installed via snap or flatpak. This is a very problematic flaw on any ubuntu-related operating system! Unfortunately, it has made this extension virtually unusable for me.

posted 5 months agoOne star reviews about this are understandable, but after all it is 100% a Snap issue, not a bug in the extension itself. - Rated 1 out of 5by user, 5 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by ChusVa, 7 months agoНе работает из коробки. В настройках "Подключенные базы данных" при нажатии на кнопку "Подключить" ничего не происходит. Плагин по сути безполезен, сделан, по-русски, для галочки.

- Rated 1 out of 5by ROOT, 8 months agoCan't connect to database. I'm on Linux Ubuntu (Zorin 17.1) with up-to-date versions of both Firefox and Keepass desktop app and the extension. Still won't connect, on multiple tries.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12370795, 9 months agoI have the same problem, as many.
This add-on does not link with the KeePassXC app (v2.7.9) on Linux Mint 21.2.
It has been like that for 2 years !!!Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by didi, 10 months agoI just do not get it running on my Ubuntu 22.04. Firefox. I tried all suggestions, even about not installing it as snap. It just does not work, maybe because it is difficult to install Firefox not as snap

posted 10 months agoTake a look at our Troubleshooting Guide in GitHub, especially the section about AppArmor. Ubuntu can restrict Firefox usage through it, and the extension might not work with default settings. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18309804, a year agoThe plug-in (the key exchange) does not work for me on Ubuntu 22.04 - although it works well on Windows 11
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16994290, a year agoIf your browser is sandboxed with Snap or Flatpak, this extension does not work. It's not fixable as the required integration breaks the sandbox and so won't be allowed. If you have a browser installed on your host computer (i.e. native, not sandboxed) then there is no problem with this extension. But since Firefox is now ONLY supplied as Flatpak or Snaps on Ubuntu, this effectively locks out all Linux users from using KeepassXC.

But it has everything to do with the extension. It is designed in a way that is simply incompatible with the security model of a sandboxed browser. Nothing about the sandbox is "broken", the kind of code execution required by the extension and the server is what a sandbox is designed to prevent. This is exactly what a malicious extension would do to break out of the sandbox. The team should be working on this, or else users will just abandon the project. I'm certainly not going to try to convince Ubuntu that Snap is broken on your behalf, I'm just going to install something else that works.Developer response
posted a year agoThis has nothing to do with the extension itself, but Snap/Flatpak implementation of the browser itself. Ubuntu already added support for Native Messaging with Snap Firefox. If it's broken, Ubuntu's Snap team should be contacted. Sadly we cannot do anything about it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15552148, a year agoAddon doesnt connect to Database - German version - you can click on the buttom but nothing else - no popup, no window on how to connect. I disabled it and went back to native Keepass. Firefox 122.0.1, KeePassXC 2.7.6.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Chris, 2 years agoNoch nie einen so schlechten Passwortmanager gesehen.
Nutzlos!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Eng.Dark Alchemist, 2 years agoonly work with KeepassXC app. I use Keepass (original project) portable and I am unable to set KeePassXC-Browser

posted 2 years agoIt is up to the original KeePass project to implement support for this extension. For a workaround you can check KeePassNatMsg, but it is not an official plugin by us. - Rated 1 out of 5by Joe, 2 years agoThis extension does exactly nothing. I've connected the database with KeePassXC on Fedora but nothing will have it pasted any name or password field. Not sure why this is here. It would be helpful if there was some support for Fedora. On windows it shows Geen verbinding met KeePassXC. Controleer in KeePassXC-instellingen of browserintegratie geactiveerd is.
