- Rated 2 out of 5by watermaolon, 2 days agoQual é o ponto de usar uma extensão que promete ajudar na escrita, se mesmo quando ela detecta erros no texto, a extensão NÃO diz o que está errado no texto, mesmo com o contador dizendo que há erros.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Mirco, 10 days agoI bought it for Overleaf, but they broke the compatibility and won't fix it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by VOIIIXI, 2 months agoGood add-on although it doesn't have a dark mode. So every time you try to correct a misspelled word or anything you get a blinding white pop-up. And what's funny is on this add-on website there's a whole article talking about dark mode and how great it is.
- Rated 2 out of 5by KevK, 5 months agowas good once, but for whatever reason isn't working for me anymore in FF, no settings are saved and doesn't appear anymore in any text or spelling corrections etc.
Settings aren't saved anymore no matter what I do.
Gonna fully remove and reinstall and if it still doesn't work gonna look for something else, thankfully there seem to be many competitors in this field.
Not sure why it seems to be working for everybody else still but not for me, based on the reviews by others. Worked fine in the past but then just stopped. - Rated 2 out of 5by H-1-P-P-Y, 5 months agoits ok for basic spelling mistakes but has real difficulty with some words people would spell phonetically I'm dyslexic so I spelled definite like this defenate. The add on offered me two options to correct the mistake defecate and def enate. I'll forgive defecate as the app could have thought it was a mistype but to not offer definite when I typed it in google and the correct spelling was the first thing google offered. Also loads of names of places are flagged as a mistake Shinjuku for example. I wouldn't recommend this add on in its current state.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Marion, 5 months agoPersonally I hated this extension and uninstalled it. The grammar checking function is extremely irritating (it doesn't seem to get the idea of casual English where you don't necessarily want to have loads of commas everywhere) and there doesn't seem to be a way of permanently disabling it. It also constantly offers me unwanted style guides for "improving" the style of my English (by upgrading to a paid version). This is probably fine if you are writing English as a second language, but it isn't suitable for native speakers wanting to catch awkward spellings or typos.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Adam Baker, 8 months agoMoney-grubbing BS. Useless for anything longer than 1,000 words, unless you upgrade to the paid version.
Still better than Firefox's default dictionary, but not by much. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18867700, 8 months agoDark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes, use dark theme for night and daily browsing.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Calcifer, 10 months agoPretty useless tbh gives dumb corrections to things that are mistakes in a different sentence structure. Used for dutch
- Rated 2 out of 5by starnix, 10 months agoneat software.
kudos to whoever decided free users need to see a constant yellow warning which only links to "premium upgrade now" spam on every single text input - Rated 2 out of 5by kacnje, a year agoAfter integration of AI, it simply works worse. I do not recommend it any more.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Endless Fantasy, a year agoTwo stars for not including an option to select, an “Any dialect” in the which dialect to use dropdown, or select multiple as a bubble, as either a basic or advanced option.
I consider this a critical feature of any language tool, especially a spell check.
I'd also like to be able to select “Show both as a suggestion” For these features of premium let alone recommend it as a user I want more freedom of expression in how I type, sometimes to type in standard “wrong” variations and even recommend them (The horror!!!):
Wrong Punctuation
Incorrect Word Combinations
Advanced Missing Commas
Foreign Terms
It's also lacking several important features such as custom dictionaries from what I can tell.
There's no excuse for not loading from standard formats for this.
Review was edited using this software.
The software also disguises telling you about "Advanced" errors, as a form of very blatant advertisement, and front-loads its AI paraphrasing, and rewriting system as much as it reasonably can without impacting the user experience.
As a user I don't want this, I don't want to know if I made an advanced spelling mistake, because I know that The software does not support that because I read the page, I expect no scanning, not ad's for scanning disguised as good faith showcasing of your product, or the user's failures.
It needs to be a default off option like "Enable scanning of user text for premium features, to warn user about their mistakes" would be ideal.
There's not even any options clutter yet, good work, but its not configurable enough.
Id say my review rating is: Stalker HoC's reception. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14065901, a year agoNot so great if you are multilingual. I understand projects like this need money but the pathological need to show premium upgrade ads in the UI over usability of the product shows the priority is not helping you the user. Also don't fake having a language available in the setting and then not be able to spell check it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15291916, a year agoA spellchecker that only works on some sites, and not others, has limited usefulness. Would be better if it could run here, but its options don't even show the "Run on sites with restrictions" option as it ought to.
Edit: It used to work on wireclub.com's chats, and now it doesn't. More useless than ever before. - Rated 2 out of 5by willo, a year ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13381346, a year agoWenn sie immer funktonieren würde könnte ich mir überlegen dafür zu bezahlen. Nachdem das leider nicht so ist, sehe ich nicht ein auch nur 1 Cent dafür auszugeben

- Rated 2 out of 5by Goofy3696, a year agoIt works to an extent. When it detects an error in your sentence format and you click to correct it, you are then sent to a PAYWALL to have it corrected.

posted a year agoThat's only true for a fraction of errors. Many errors can be detected and fixed with the free version. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18378284, 2 years agoGreat except it keeps on pushing premium only issues in my face, honestly ruins it.
