- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17067794, 2 months agoIt works fine in general, but on some websites, like Instagram, the bubble doesn't disappear unless I reload the page.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17902255, 2 months agoIt's good, but the main concern is that it lacks supervision from the Firefox team. I hope that will change soon.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Mohamed Abdelhay, 2 months agoThis extension is awesome! Its like 3 extensions merged into one. My only problem with it is that its not open source and not having been reviewed manually by Firefox and given the Recommended tag as it could cause a security risk.
Edit: I don't know why but the Google search option isn't working. When I select it, it just gives me "If you're having trouble accessing Google Search, pleaseclick here, or sendfeedback.".
Edit 2: the error above is fixed but google search brings a captcha every time it opens. - Rated 4 out of 5by simurq, 5 months agoThe idea is great! In terms of implementation, it would be nice to have options for adding more custom content sources.
- Rated 4 out of 5by RichardJT, 8 months agoI've been looking for a pop-up word definer ever since seeing an example on MS Edge. It's great no longer having to use "Search in Google" to find a word def and messily opening a new tab.i gave it only 4 stars bc there's always room for improvement in everything. One change I would make is not having to use 2 mouse clicks to get a def (right click on a highlighted word then left click on the "Define" entry): I would make it so clicking the add-on icon in the toolbar when a word is highlighted opens the pop-up window with the word defined. It already opens the pop-up so I don't see the issue. Thanks and Cheers, r
- Rated 4 out of 5by Vikrant, a year agoThis is a perfect pop-up dictionary add-on and I have been searching for such kind of stuff from past two weeks.
Although as an improvement I would like it to have a "SAVE WORD" button to look up the list later on. It will help improve my vocabulary as well.
I will not forget to rate it five star if that as well is implemented. Although I have to admit that at this point of time as well it is a piece of art. - Rated 4 out of 5by Corey, a year agoThis would be perfect If I could add more than one custom dictionary.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Pi Lo, 2 years agoSo far really good. When needing a quick definition, I would often have to open a tab for a specific website. I can get that from Definer.
One main issue is that you can use either the dictionary OR the translator, not both at the same time.
As a non-English speaker, I'd rather search for the English definition AND get the translation in my mother tongue if needed.
Please, add a tab to access the translation from a definition, and conversely.
Maybe also add links to the thesaurus?
I do like the custom source feature with dynamic fields! I was able to easily add the Meriam Webster dictionary or Thesaurus. If we could create several custom sources (with different custom icons), that would be great. I could expand on the capabilities of a great tool! - Rated 4 out of 5by Shelby, 2 years agoI love this extension, it's extremely useful. Eventually adding multiple custom dictionary sources would be really cool.
Edit: Not really sure, but it breaks inkblot.art and most review pages on online shops. I have to disable it from the addon manager to get them to work - Rated 4 out of 5by 3picPerson, 2 years agoThere needs to be an option to change the size of the popup when you click the extension icon. It is currently way too big and blocks out a lot of the screen. A size closer to the Google Dictionary extension on Chrome would be much better. There should also be an option to disable automatic searching when you're typing. I can press the enter key myself. Adding synonyms would also be useful.
