- Rated 1 out of 5by Mohan, 4 years agoIt's amazing that almost every single review this extension has had in the recent past is a scathingly negative review.
And there's good reason for that. This is one of the better, even 'premium', VPNs out there. And yes, their service is fast. But it comes with several pains. This Firefox extension is pathetic. At it's best, it asks you to keep logging in, fails often, fails to load pages often, and the window is distorted (it keeps getting elongated!). At it's worst, well, it crashes and takes Firefox along with it.
It should be clear by now that this is not an isolated incident - something that can be resolved by customer service. This is an issue from the development of the extension - which needs to be sorted.
The Windows app (and phone apps) work well, but they're pretty heavy and battery hungry. So I wish this browser extension would 'just work' - but it doesn't.Developer response

Sometimes it doesn't autoconnect, other times the internet connection stop working because of the app and I have to manually disconnect or reset the connection. There are times that I can't even log in because their log-in interface doesn't work. I don't like it and I'll be switching to another provider when my subscription ends.

Requires re-installation, and only after it finally works. I have only 4 other add-ons, which are some of the most popular on Firefox, all of them I basically mandatory for most users. So that dumb excuse from NordVPN developers, that it is not their fault, it is some bad bad third-party add-on interfere with theirs, is kinda funny in that case. There is no bad interference and even if there is, it is your badly written code cause this problem. Happens way too often, so I've cancelled subscription.

Works only once, when you remove and reinstall the add-on but the add-on immediately gets stuck again. Firefox is my main browser, so I have to cancel my subscription...

Can't login, can't logout once logged in, and so you can't change anything. Everything works only a single time once you uninstall/reinstall the extension. But once you log in and make your selections, it reverts to its broken state the next time you start the Firefox browser.
NordVPN, you need to spend less on ads and more on development, because ultimately it's the users who will determine whether or not to keep using (ie. $$$PAYING FOR$$$) your service.Developer response

posted 4 years agoHello. Our service is subscription based so yes, you need to purchase a subscription to create an account with us and with that you would be able to log in to our services. Other add-ons are showing okay. Installing another new add-on is okay so I guess it's the Add-on problem.
Toggling to enable/unable the add-on or reinstalling is not fixing the issue.
Have no idea how to use it at this moment.Developer response

I log in and it gives me the message that I have successfully logged in, but then it still tells me to log in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times (which is something that I should not need to continuously do), and tried logging in multiple times after each reinstall. What is the problem here NORD???????
This seriously makes me question the security and reliability of your VPN that I subscribe to.

Old Problem - Today it will no longer allow me to log in. It doesn't even give me the option. When I click on the settings it then gives me the option to log out, but also will not work. It was working great until today. Something has happened and needs to be corrected.
I received a message asking that I reinstall Nord. I had already tried that multiple times, however today it started working again. Who knows what was going on, but it seems to be ok now.

You just can't trust this add on. The icon shows you're connected but it randomly disconnects in the background so you think you're going through the VPN but you aren't. This is even worse than it just not working. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't connect.Developer response
