- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13880368, 10 months agoIt stopped working a few months ago (2024) ... It can no longer logged in... Firefox would launch the Nord VPN log in webpage, but after a successful log in, the Nord VPN Add-ons would still be asking you to log in :-(

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18323124, a year agoNord was pretty good and fast, but...
Since last year their browser extension has been secretly throttled. This was confirmed with their devs after multiple emails to support. They never told us about this throttle and the website continues to advertise that they do not set any limits. Most likely their support even dont know about it and will tell you otherwise, which will just show how they can make such serious changes even without careful considerations within their team.
I gave some time to see if they will fix it but after a few months it didnt sound like they cared at all. If you are reading this you probably are interested in using the extension and not the desktop app, so my advice is dont get Nord now unless you are good with being slowed.
Update:
It is the case. Anyone can try to download a file and see for themselves it can never go above a certain speed. I see some previous reviews that mention this too. Just like I said pretty much no one other than devs knows about this.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14539170, a year agoAs of June 2024, this extension severely throttles internet connection speeds.
Using NordVPN without the extension is no problem at all, but the browser extension quite literally slows your experience to a halt. It's unusable. If you haven't purchased a Nord subscription yet, and you are hoping to make use of the browser extension, look elsewhere. All of the 5-star reviews for this extensions are likely out of date, and or posted by people provided with financial incentive to do so.
TL;DR
Steer clear. - Rated 1 out of 5by Abdullahi, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by qwertyk, a year agoI do not recommend:
1. Long technical support answers (12-24 hours), formal answers, asking for things that have already been answered earlier.
2. This is not a free application, but any payment automatically makes a subscription to you, it is not written anywhere except Help Center, it also says that a return is possible only for the first payment, the rest is not returned if they are not forced by law.
3. VPN program automatically install 2 more programs with self, one of them consumes traffic, when VPN does not work, removal does not help, the VPN program will restore them ...Developer response
posted a year agoHello. We're sorry about the negative experience you've had with our team and product. You can reach us at support.nordvpn.com via live chat too. We inform our customers that the service is paid and works on a subscription basis for which auto-renewals are enabled by default - this is a standard practice across the market, for services independently and on various app store platforms (Google Play, Apple's App Store, etc.). We let our customers know about renewals being enabled by default during checkout as well as in our Terms of Service. We also have customer support available 24/7 to answer any such or other questions as well as to assist with any issues related to the use of our service. As for the other two programs you mentioned in your review, it'd be helpful if you were able to update us on what exact programs you have in mind. -Drea - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15848324, a year ago
