by Snake, 4 years agoSTILL BROKEN. Have same issue on multiple computers - NS fails to display all blocked elements meaning that you can't UNBLOCK them, meaning that pages won't render. Developer passes buck, denying issue. Again, same experience on MULTIPLE computers for a LONG time now, ever since FF's design requirements mod.

Has been broken for a LONG time, pretty much since the new FF add-on design requirements. I use it on 2 different Win10 computers, both running the most up-to-date version of FF and NS (now FF 105 and NS 11.4.11) and both computers have the same issues: on many websites NS fails to show the correct number of scripts being blocked. This means that you can't *unblock* them, because they never show up on the list. You hit the 'Temp Allow All' button and NS shows a number still blocked, say 4, but the list does not actually show the 4 still blocked. This means that many websites are unusable because NS keeps some / many of the blocks off the list and you can't override that unless you Disable Restrictions Globally, and even then sometimes it doesn't work (see https://www.rideapart.com/news/609878/moto-guzzi-v100-mandello-pricing/ as a test).
Never has been fixed, for many months now. Seemed to have actually gotten worse these past 2 months, many websites aren't usable now.

posted 4 years agoNot a NoScript problem: on that site I had to
1. Set googletagmanager.com to TRUSTED, probably because they use gtag to load most of their further (many) JavaScript dependencies
2. Disable uBlock for the page, otherwise some essential scripts could not be loaded or even shown because were preemptively filtered by uBlock.
If you've got other situations like this please try disabling other extensions (such as uBlock) and report in the proper bug tracker, thanks: https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/issues/

- Rated 4 out of 5by Private Jenkins, a day agoFantastic for keeping data-scraping scripts away from my personal info or history.
However, as of June 1st, the add-on will only update the script list once per refresh hit, and I have to click off the icon in order to process more scripts to get a certain page "unbroken".
Very annoying, hence why this is only a 4-star (even barely! I give this add-on a 3.5 in reality) review.
Fix this issue, and the rest of the problems I encounter will again be someone else's problem. - Rated 4 out of 5by Alphonse, 3 days agoStops unknown scripts from running until your approval. But a lot of websites will break without third-party scripts, and for now you simply must guess your own until it works. Interface cuts off long domain-names.

- Rated 1 out of 5by FFuser68.11, a month agoUpdate: rotating the screen from portrait to landscape displays the complete noscript "page".... since latest update (Apr 23, 2026), noscript is unusable with firefox for android version 150.0.1 (android 10 on my s9+ and android 14 on my pixel 4a) [in portrait vs landscape]... when extension is displayed to view script permissions, "page" is not fully displayed [in portrait vs landscape], cannot view site information, the text on the right of displayed "page" is cutoff.... page seems zoomed in, "enlarged" and does not "shrink" so the entire "page" can be viewed, the text is cut off from view, cannot "scroll" to left or right nor pinch zoom, in or out, to view all noscript permissions and site information in portrait view, displays full "page" in landscape view... in portrait view, the noscript "page" appears as a pop-up window??? ...for an unknown reason I am unable to register on the noscript.net InformAction forum... no matter the email address used nor its length, the number of characters... Error: "The solution you provided was incorrect - Please note that you will need to enter a valid email address before your account is activated".... cannot post new topics in this forum.... Error: "The solution you provided was incorrect".

To be honest, I'm not using it right now because I'm still learning how to use it more effectively. I'm actually trying to learn more about internet security, and I've noticed that using this add-on is great for protecting your privacy from malicious JavaScript. I highly recommend it. Thank you.
