posted a month agoThere was a change to some browser's restrictions that affected this. It is fixed now. Thanks! Developer response
posted 3 years agoYeah... I've had the same feeling yesterday. I bought an iphone, which on apple's website shows nice apps, but mine just shows blank screen... (maybe I should turn it on somehow?)- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14766181, 3 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Denis, 4 years agoDoes exactly what is says. No excessive permissions, no bs.
Only one thing - it desperately needs a feature to get favicons for stored bookmark's domain.Developer response
posted 4 years agoFor small favicons in lists - you need to enable google service permission in Privacy settings.
For thumbnails-type favicons - not gonna happe as I explained many times in Github issues. Main reason is: privacy (a 3rd party service would read your ip and the urls from your bookmarks) and firefox extension does not allow to get favicons directly. - Rated 4 out of 5by jasonix, 4 years agoDoes the job and is customizable, but it loads a bit slow.
Edit: I have to be more specific, because "a bit slow" may lead to some confusion. I have had 24 top sites on my Top Sites since now. I know exactly where everything is, so when I open a new tab my cursor is where I want to before it loads. I now have 28 bookmarks (7x4 grid) and a docked folder of 8 bookmarks. It takes less than a second to load, but enough to be noticeable when I'm in a hurry.Developer response
posted 4 years agoThe only reason it would be slow is when you have too many bookmarks (e.g. >200). But that is firefoxe's fault as its API to fetch bookmarks gets proportionally slower the more bookmarks you have. - Rated 4 out of 5by KingKozaK, 5 years agoReally great, the one I had on chrome was a little better because it would cycle through scenic photographs instead of a plain color, but all the functionality is here!

posted 5 years ago1. This is not a feature-request forum. There's a dedicated support page for things like that.
That said, you can easily do what you want in Settings/Custom CSS, enter this line:
body {background: #222 url("https://picsum.photos/1800/1200/?random") 0 0/cover no-repeat;}
2. Please understand, that I'm doing that for free, in my spare time, and you're not paying a cent for it. So I'd appreciate if you didn't put me down because in the free software that I gave you for free, I didn't include all the functionality that, I didn't know, that you wanted.
If you're looking for a feature that is not there, please add a feature request in project's github and I'll do my best to add it for you. - Rated 4 out of 5by Alberto, 5 years ago
