Does not protect fingerprinting!!! - Rated 1 out of 5by Antihero, a year agoLænge siden seneste opdatering, så vælg den anden udvidelse tilbudt af Startpage, hvis du vælger Startpage.
Ellers findes der up-to-date alternativer.Developer response
posted a year agoTak fordi du tog dig tid til at skrive en anmeldelse. Dette fungerer stadig godt, men vi er enige om, at vores anden udvidelse er et godt valg! (Vi har ingen dansktalende som modersmål, og derfor er dette svar lavet ved hjælp af oversættelsessoftware.) - Rated 1 out of 5by Expert Plus 🍀, a year agoStartpage is owned by System1, right? Right.
This extension is useless. Use uBlock Origin instead.
Like, what are the reasons to use this extension? What's so special about it?
Senseless and useless, documentation-less and introduction-less, privacy-less.
Startpage does one thing, named privacy-washing.
Yes, I do care about my privacy and that's the reason I don't use this product or anything from red-flagged System1!
Red flags! Red flags! Red flags!
Be aware.
For team:
Please explain what's so special about this extension and is it better then uBlock Origin?
Thank you.
P.S. Also, explain why do you privacy-wash people.Developer response
posted a year agoThis extension blocks trackers and cookies, which is pretty useful these days. It is not adblocker and does not have all the same features as uBlock. If someone would like all those features, they can use that instead.
The documentation is here:

Lastly, yes System1 owns Startpage, but our commitment to privacy and more importantly our privacy policy have not changed.
https://www.startpage.com/en/privacy-policy - Rated 1 out of 5by firefrog, 3 years agoThis addon states it doesn't use any keyboard shortcuts. However, as long as it is activated, pressing the Escape button three times will blur my current tab and pressing Escape four times will close the current tab and open a new one to startpage.com. This has broken all my trust in startpage's legitimacy, I'll both uninstall this addon as well as change my start page.
/edit in response to the dev: "up front"? I searched for that "feature" back then, but nobody seemed to know anything about it. After your reply, I searched both the addon's mozilla page as well as your homepage for ANY trace of it. Well, yes, you do mention it in one dedicated article (not on the addon's page, not in the features list, nowhere but this article) that I only saw after asking Google about it. Yes, Google.
Also, why is it not possible to delete this "feature"? Can't be too hard to code that in, can it?Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for your feedback. That’s Escape Route, a privacy feature used to quickly exit any page. We’re up front about it in the description and maintain the same high standards we always have. Sorry to see you go.
