by soulrebelno1, 7 years agoTo get this add-on to work properly you have to install a companion application called 'VdhCoApp', but for some reason the developers fail to give you this information? When Video DownloadHelper updates, it will redirect you to another tab which says: "Congratulations, you just upgraded to Video DownloadHelper ... ". Watching something interesting or maybe you're in the middle of something important, well Video DownloadHelper doesn't care - you WILL be redirected! Honestly, who the hell thought that was a good idea, it's like having a virus on your machine! I tried the convert option, it took so long to do the conversion I thought it hadn't worked and there's absolutely no feedback whatsoever while processing the file. Overall, the UI is not very intuitive. Also, if you chose an ADP variant and the conversion feature has not been registered the resulting video contains a QR barcode watermark in the top left corner. There are better options out there which don't need a companion application, give you conversion options up front, and don't insert a watermark in your videos. Uninstalled.
